Hi All, I've heard & read the following addage before: Sell in May and go away’, it’s time to get out of the stock market. But do the seasons have any effect on equity returns? Hi Cat, I know I shouldn't have done but I have sold all my SXX to buy even deeper in 88e. Hope I don't get burnt. Plan is to re-buy SXX later (hopefully). Price seems to be shrinking a bit right now & may even get back into the 20's with plenty of time to go before production or tunnel completions.

Hi Phil, thought it was only me who had a cynical streak. As I said earlier, this all seems like a big game at times with no rhyme or reason to why it does the things it does. We get good news & it falls off the edge, we get news that we have been expecting for 9 months & we go up, like last Monday, 11th, we knew the project was starting up again & the SP went up. All fun & games & I don't think I would like it any other way. Good Luck with your trading.

Hi Cat, yes I do have an online account & when I trade I generally buy/sell with orders. It was out of interest I had noticed the wide gap this morning & again since I started this thread. It was 0.05 & then it was 0.10. Doubled in approximately 10 minutes. Been in with 88e since 2015 as I have with Sirius SXX. Before Sirius moved to the 250, prices jumped around just like 88e is doing right now. It just appears like a big game to me but I suppose it keeps me occupied. Prices will spike on good news & trhen drop like a stone on AIM, not so much so on the main exchanges. Thanks for your responses.

Hi Catsize, Just above us all in the header Share Price: 1.825 Bid: 1.80 Ask: 1.85 Change: -0.025 (-1.35%) It is only .05 at the moment between bid & ask. When the bell rang this morning it was much bigger. Just wondered why?

I have a larger portion of that. Bid / Offer spread has been wider than usual today, certainly at opening. I wondered what actually dictates the gap. Is it the volumes of buys & sells?

Hi All, can anyone tell me what exactly dictates the "Spread"? I see today it has been particularly wide. What drives that? Learn a little every day is my motto.

"E" for Exciting this 88e. Had a look at ASX this morning 4:00 am & after a swift calculation I have just had another £1k at 1.65. Who would have thought it? Had similar amount at 1.90 Friday & thought that was good. Hope it dowsn't finish in tears but hey ho, innit to winnit. Come on you 88e.
