Presumably the amount spent on R&D very much depends on how big the team is. Also, having developed a product and deployed it then wouldn't the AI component then be effectively "developing" itself by learning and adapting ?
I think my bigger concern given the smart minds they have managed to recruit is retention and succession planning in the event of one or more of the key people leaving in the event of either foreseen or unforeseen circumstances.
Thank you for the numbers Patshare. I see they only bought back 100k volume yesterday. A quick check over the last few days indicates the volume reducing each day. Is this down to availability or something else ?
More positive news from the PR team about availability of Newsroom product. It includes specific examples of vulnerabilities that have been found just to qualify its capabilities. Announcing now ahead of 8th March just keeps the pressure on :)
Panda, great post and not a rant but a very reasoned statement. I've only been on this bb since December '22 but initially invested in Darktrace in November '21 with some further buys when the time seemed appropriate. My interest in them was first piqued whilst watching the 2021 F1 season having seen their name on the McLaren cars. I then saw them mentioned in other media and did my own research to find out more. I liked them for being British and their innovative use of AI in Cybersecurity. I too would prefer to see this company remaining a British PLC. DYOR and GLA
ShortWacker, I thought it was good detective work because I certainly wasn't aware KKR had a 35% position in MW. Call it research if you like but it's a good piece of work. Perhaps strange is the wrong description, perhaps odd or even suspicious is a better description !
Lending, I agree with you, the existing extradition treaty with US nears tearing up and re-negotiating. Unfortunately our government doesn't seem to have the backbone to negotiate from a position of strength these days.
