Been investing for years.

Transferred all my pensions to one SIPP due to Aviva losing me tens of thousands during a boom time period before the crash.

Where am I now, recouped, in great profit with a strong portfolio.

I also manage my sons JISA and my wife's pension along with my own personal portfolio, all in profit.

Naivity would be listening to you state that funding would dilute the company.

All, I repeat, all companies require funding to get to the end line and there are many many way it can secure funding without it being any kind of burden to the growth or return the investor gets. Period!

Royalty funding is an alternative to debt or equity funding.

Streaming deals are an alternative to debt and equity funding.

Do you think Blackrock or Citibank would decline an offer of say:

"Hey guys if you fund the intial prodcution costs we'll cut you in for 10% of the copper production"

Or alernatively, 10% of the gold production which will enable SOLG to mine Alpala and other concessions themselves.

There is more out there than just debt or equity funding which would not give any dilution to the company.

And you think Nick won't know this.

Interesting and exciting

After watching his presentation video, it reinforces my previous thoughts that this is going to production.

Throughout the presentation Nick states a major in the making and indicates that Alapala mine will be funded via the cheaper gold mine option.

He also states the $4-5 Billion savings which indicate this could go to production for a cost of around $2-3 Billion

I don't mind waiting a further 5 years as IMO the share price will be circa £5 as you say Rich

And ever since Jason Ward's statement Nick Mather has categorically stated this is going to production

It's not a case of having done it before!

It's a case of getting on board a monster development.

One that hasn't been seen before; 70 plus concessions, several high priority exploration areas just now.

This is not going cheap and who can afford it all?

Despite BHP's financial resources I don't think they have enough for all concessions and I agree with Italian that Nick wants this to go to fruition.

After musing, since BHP came on board, I now think that there is a distinct possibility that all parties (Solgold, BHP and Newcrest) will join forces to take to production. It has been well stated previously that the concessions, the value in ground and the cost for just one company to takeover is far too expensive and that it is likely that a couple of majors may be needed to share the full financial burden. Just a thought! Glad I took a piece of OMI last month too
