always going to be a gamble, re. timing but you can see here that existing holders are always trying to encourage each other to buy at the premium for selfish reasons... because they don't like to see a retrace because everyone wants an 'always up' sp.

but, yes, i agree with you... if you're already holding then just wait it out if you are prepared for some possible volatility or, if you have some final pennies down the back of the sofa, see it as another opportunity, if it materialises.

Lloyd, all i'm saying is that rns' can be issued up to 5 days after action. so, atm, they could easily have been issued pre the ise, to take advantage of the rise to sell into.

as i say, not definitive but if you don't acknowledge the mechanics of rises or falls then you're hostage to them, if they materialsie.

but if you have a longer term 'just hold' intent, it won't matter, either way.

And, seeing as you dragged me into this... don't be surprised to see the Semnet shares being issued at a price that might disappoint.

all these shares that have been bought need to have come from somewhere and i doubt it's just retail churn. so where do 30million shares come from? and, at what price were they issued for them to be sold into this rise?

might well be wrong but if you don't look at ALL the possibilities... at least be aware of the potential. as there will be a lot of shares potentially swirling around, if Semnet and Easysend transactions are completed at the same price.

Actually, wouldn't surprise me to find that some of the Semnet shares have been issued/forward sold into this rise. guess we'll see if there's an rns about the Semnet conclusion shortly.

I find it amusing that you still feel the need to mention me with the rise, as it'd make you feel happier to see someone making less than you on the rise... still here... just looking for the peak and retrace.

Likewise, i won't be complaining at a higher price. but, honestly, as long as it's agreed sooner than later and there's no extensions to deadlines will be fine with wahtever and the chance to move the money elsewhere. i guess the only potential upside is if the licence is still 'imminent', tailoring the final price.

Not the bounce that folk were expecting/hoping for. the acquisition earlier this year is still going to need to feed through to revenue and with a 9p div. there's going to be an automatic 9p on ex div dates. which will look bad, even if it happens with every div.

still looking overpriced to be the bargain folk will want to secure their investment, i suspect.

Looks to me like there's an attempt to work the price down. repeat rounded number sells to lodge a lower price and then some folk just moving out until things stabilise.

unless Semnet are also manufacturers thenthe servers will merely have a profit tagged onto their cost. plus, as noone knows hw many serviers will be supplied (and we've no idea how long the contract is for) then what sounded great at a $36million contract is worth less if it involves an unspecified amount for the supply of third party servers.

It's not 'just an example', it the rampiest numbers just pulled out of an ass!

worse still, someone here then turns it from £12mill revenue into £12mill profit! so, based on Semnet's figures from their last results, they turned $4.2million into £200k pre tax profit. so someone here, just (as) an example, is punting £240million revenue for the year, with £12million pre tax profit.

not a ramp at all...

oh, and i noticed that the Semnet contract is not for cyber but ' for the sale of high-performance application servers and solutions specifically designed for artificial intelligence.' i make the assumption that 'application servers' are physical assets that have to be built/made/created/bought it? so what is the cost of that manufacture and supply and what is the split of the $36million for services?

choose to sweep over the words but anyone want to punt or suggest that that sentence isn't about physicial machines that will need to be bought in, or are Semnet now manufacturers too?

if the quality of the posts here is any kind of indicator of the future prospects of the company then i'd say it's heading for a head on crash!

what a shame even the serious investors here can't stop that massive fool from poluting the bb for any potential new investors.

Now at 167... obviously, Phillips sold 25% of his stake in the company at 280 with some prior knowledge. OR, his partners 'released' the damaging news story with a view to short or pick up the shares cheaper, later.

shares now down 40% on his selling price. new holders must be royally pished!

have to see if the slide continues, with the gamesmanship affecting the sp over a longer period or if Phillips or other parties are now interested in seeing the price drop further.

at some point, though, they'll be an upturn but not a comfortable hold for existing holders who believed this was going over 400, not falling below 200...
