if they purchased Semnet with shares (still outstanding) then the likelihood is they will also do the same with Easysend. the only question is how many and at what price and i'm guessing that'll only be discovered when they announce it!

So how will they pay for Easysend, considering they're paying $1million of the $1.8million for Semnet in shares?

Well, we don't know just how serious Stonex have EVER been about their offers. entirely possible their plan was to short it all along... impossible to know. i seriously doubt, having had access to everything for dd they suddenly 'discovered' something, even the last update wasn't worth a 40% cut. as for Helios, i doubt they would take such a hit as, at this price it's probably worth them seeking to take it over themselves, unless they've been mugged royally by getting in in the first place!

Helios have the time to just wait... most pi's will have personal circumstances that mean they might not be able to wait a year to see things improve. companies have much longer term goals. plus, i wouldn't mind betting Helios have been working the situation to their own benefit too... just because they hold the majority stake i'm sure they're not averse to lending out shares for shorts...

personally, don't believe Stonex 'discovered' something from the last update and i'm sure they've made on it since their 'offer'. but finding true value now is up in the air...without external forces influencing the sp, it's down to the next news and BoD performing better. but admit to being surprised that this fell to this level as, if it was worth 115 earlier then not a lot has really changed. going to be a fair amount of churn each time there's even the slightest recovery now there are folk in at sub 80.

Only problem at this point is, with a big enough buy, this is now tradable for constant 10%s... buy at 83... wait for 90 and sell... if enough do it it just bounces around the 80s until a TR1 or similar makes 100 likely again. personally, i would have thought Stonex's first offer is a reasonable level for this to find in the short term. and the longer it goes on, the closer the licence gets... and it's certainly not a fact that that is now priced in... not in the mid 80s.

If Easysend is as big a deal as it's meant to be (and they actually operate well and have significant turnover) then i doubt GST will want to use cash exclusively so will do... 50% - as per Semnet - in shares. the only question will be, again, what price will the shares be issued at and will they be a long term hold or transactional to make instant profit.

Also, unless Stonex was all just a ploy, wouldn't be surprised to see them hoovering up shares at this level, for something later on. can't recall how long they'd have to wait now, before showing interest again but doesn't matter. unless the shorters are going to work this brilliantly, mid 80s looks v cheap.

Unless Stonex never ever had any intention, then their 115 would seem to be a fair level for this to settle. anything lower feels like manipulation but... didn't expect 82... wasn't possible to buy at that price.

Jan2025 is a bit of a way for holding with no news but still the US licence to make it come good. would have thought mid 80s was an excellent price to be getting in or averaging down.

The people who post are always the complainers. folk who get a good reaction are too busy shaagging to bother with posting.

just accept what Haleon said, that it'll take time for evidence of repeat orders to come through and for evidence of sales. just accept that Haleon don't spend money on nothing. pretty much every medecine cabinet everywhere has their products in them... it might take time and, tbh, if they see that sales are stellar, they'll put in a takeover offer way before the evidence shows. the first sign you'll see of their success will be an offer for all the shares at a price relative to their sales.targets. it just may take a while...

The point i'm making is the contract was for the supply of servers too... not just for cyber services. so, without any further details as to how many servers, who the manufacturer is and if there's also a contract for their servicing, the 'value' of the contract, as opposed to the profit, is impossible to determine.

but i'm sure most will just want to talk of all $36mill as being profit!

Facts ARE transparent. it's the lack of details that makes for opaque.

nothing trolling about the fact that the 'huge' contract is only partially for cyber services.

... the Semnet contract, while big, was also for the supply of several servers, for which no details were given... no idea of how many nor the cost of supplying.

said it before, unless Semnet are also manufacturers, they're merely a cost that will be passed on, plus margin. so, whie the contract was big it's impossible to determine how much of it will be profit... unless someone here wants to punt the cost of the servers to be supplied?

of course, it serves the company and the rampers and the IPO to cover up that fact.

'course, there IS the possibility of a placing as, as with Semnet, I don't think GST has the cash (or is willing to spend the cash) when it's easier to issue more shares, like they will for Semnet.

The difference is that Semnet's shares are already agreed on a vwap whereas the Easysend shares (if that's the deal) can be at any price, either to guarantee and easy profit if sold or at a premium if the holder believes the future's worth it (and that will only depend on the valuation put on that stake, which noone really has a clue about).

so, sit tight and just make your decision on what to do and when... but don't be a turncoat like Simon the bsin' zealot.

... there IS still the issue of whether the Easysend deal is going through and how they will pay for it so... in shares? and, as the rise over the past fortnight has been ramp city, doubt it'll influence the price of it, if it happens.

Don't see this being a 'who binks first'... not expecting anothe offer from another source either... it's jsut down to Helios and them deciding if they can live with the loss, mitigated by whateve deal they can cut with Stonex and then just stick the money elsewhere or see what the Stonex shares will do over time.

be nice if someone else comes in but, in the end, we're bystanders for what Helios decide.

They'd surely have the shorts in place already... so no need to wait for the deadline, unless you believe they're chipping away at the price so the potential drop would start from lower.

but i would've thought the price is pretty much priced in now for the deal to not go through... might dip down to 90 but would get bought up as it was higher than that before the most recent optimistic buying.

and, if they don't take it then the US licence will bring it back up again so this curret price seems relatively safe... with the upside of the deal passing.

Stonex shares would definitely insulate Helios from a loss, esp. if they work a parallel enticement to okay the deal. Don't know whether Stonex shares on their own would cut it but sweetners would be entirely plausible, to ensure they don't miss out.

makes me now think that the offer will pass... be nice if it was slightly higher but as it's pretty much a deal between Stonex and Helios, we'll just get whatever benefit from the crumbs on the table.

Dibley, you hit the nail on the head... he 'invested' the same amount as a cynical day trader!

that sp will do nothing... if anything it'll encourage sells on a rise...

bigger question: where will a substantial rise come if there are no shares to buy? the only shares that'll come into the market are going to be the shares issued for Semnet and, possibly, Easysend. so, what will the issue price be to encourage them to sell, to create the volume? there's something for discussion...
