A dividend cut may be on the cards..although what is the shareholders’ reward for holding these shares apart from the dividend?…the only bright point in Abrdn’s earnings is interactive investor.

Share buy backs do not work brilliantly…see ABDN.

Rather have the dividends than see companies wasting ££ on an exercise which doesn’t appear to support share price

Aphorism the rising tide lifts all boats….not so obvious with Abrdn. …is there a hole in the hull or just in the management?

Or dividend crazy for a company that is rated A-/BBB+ for sub debt.

Calling in Tier 2 subordinated bond sounds like a confident move.
