“ Because the amount they are claiming is so much higher than the original cost
They are claiming $500 million for an asset that cost them only $300,000
So they want 1,700x their original cost !”
You obviously struggle with the concept of litigation.
“Let us see all of their figures, and calculations, and assumptions, etc, to see if it makes any sense”
You are not a party to the litigation. Unless you are on the arbitration panels, and I suspect that to be the case, nobody cares. Nobody cares if you see the arguments, understand the arguments, or agree the verdict. Nobody cares.
“And then let us see what Tunisia says”
Perhaps they will give the same, useless, rejected arguments as for ICC1, the cut and paste precursor of the following two cases?
“You can be sure that the experts and lawyers from Tunisia will calculate a figure that is closer to $1 million”
Thei experts and lawyers did not manage to reduce ICC1 by as much as one dollar. Useless? Or more probably, palpably guilty.
Doh!!!
