“ Just tell us how much the mines are producing, it’s quite clear they don’t want to, why not.”
At the risk of stating the obvious, they avoided giving the figures because they are disappointing. DB believes himself to be an entrepreneur, which may well be the case, but that’s not what HUM needs. HUM needs an effective, nuts and bolts, no nonsense, mining engineer. It should have been done before the mine was built, but DB clearly had delusions of adequacy in that department. Anyway, real life has a habit of delivering consequences.
The good news is that DB has been scheduled for light duties and HUM’s largest shareholder gets on the board to look after his company’s interests. Happily also looking after our interests too.
The gold is there. Execution was woeful. One of those statements will not change.
I’m unimpressed by DB, for sure, but I’m now averaged below 10p and getting lower by the day. If he had been as good a mine manager as he had been an entrepreneur, I wouldn’t be this invested, at this price.
Nioko obviously thinks along the same lines and is drip feeding its new $20m loan into HUM, while it gets a grip on the situation, pending a new CEO.
The size of the resources and the soaring price of gold trumps previously poor execution and HUM is due for a major rerate over the next 2-3 months.
All IMHO.
