I assumed the same, until recently disabused.

They will have ADRs that relate to UK shares, eg 4UK shares = 1ADR. Maybe $75m raised by issuing new ADRs. After that, demand will flow back and forwards between the two listings. If the US wants to buy more, the US broker can buy UK stock, make an ADR from 4 UK shares, which is then sold stateside.

You aren’t that far behind the curve, tbh. Details are being suppressed, IMO. After the filing is complete, I think we really motor.

It sounds like he knew nothing, a la Manuel and Basil Fawlty, or he was fobbing you off. Probably the former, but that’s just a guess.

Sounds about right. The security is 24/7, so it’s not as if they have to tell them anything in advance.

Hexam is the only one who has looked for previous IPOs, that I know of. I wouldn't get hung up on the price. It is what it is.
Two pounds or one pound, three and fourpence, ha'penny. I was just giving my opinion. The main point, is that 200mw Texas plant steamrolls on. Don't sweat the small stuff!

I’ve had £5-6 as a top-slice point, but I’m not putting a timescale on that and it’s just a personal view.

Totally agree with that. ARB positions itself as wholesome and virtuous. If they tried to nickel and dime their existing shareholders, they would look cheap and tacky. That’s not a look PW wants to have when he sits down opposite NS and EM.

He may be the poor relation, but he can match them on ethics and standards.

I'm not experienced with Nasdaq IPOs, but I think the US is less of a Wild West than LSE, when it comes to IPOs. The SEC is strict and they have more strenuous filing requirements, so an orderly market is more common over there.

Anyroadup, I'm relaxed about the sp. The only thing that matters is that we will be well-funded for the huge expansion into Texas.

With the Nasdaq / Institution contacts of our board members, I expect the book was probably filled over a few dinners in rooftop Manhattan restaurants. Ok, maybe I watched too many movies, but that order book is full, imho.

Put the IPO price to one side.

The whole point of the IPO is to fund Texas and the new machines. If institutions try to buy $75m in the open market, ARB gets zero finance and there is no Helios money, but PIs get very rich.

Correct, they will NOT allow that to happen.

Back to the IPO price. I cannot see the £2 placees being happy for new placees getting in at, for example £1.50, just because the sp is being "managed" to make this IPO possible. Look at the effort PW has put into everything ESG, from the renewable energy, carbon credits, little green female board members. He wants ARB green, clean and "super" ethical. In my head, £2 does that. Nothing done on the cheap or any sharp practices.

Just my view.

Staying under $700m is key to the hole listing. I didn't understand the huge shorting of ARBKF, or why it varied so much from day to day, until Lottohopes explained the sub $700m IPO condition. Then everything made sense.

You cannot have BLOK buying 1.6m shares at a time, without the sp rising, unless there is manipulation to keep the sp down.

Post IPO, the brakes come off.
