Funny thing a few years ago the Board at Ted Baker sat smug and rejected bids only to accept bids significantly lower a few months later. Absolutely bashing this down

I suspect they took a write down hit which was incorrect and should have been lower than it was. As a result Deloitte have been requested to understand what controls lapsed for this to have happened. The RNS does not mention further write downs.

I say 80p close today.

As an ex-auditor who has reviewed contracts in oil and gas it was a disclosure they had to make. Whether there are gaping wholes is another matter. However, those contracts would already have been scrutinized for year end audit purposes. I think nothing will come out of it.

Analysts will start covering this shortly and back up we go to over £1 when that happens.

Will be interesting to see how this moves once the US Opens.

We were at 63p in August. I expect we will head up back towards that price over the next few months.
