Received today the Voting slip for the annual general meeting, in it resolutions 18 and 19 are pertaining to the company buy backs of shares.
These resolutions as I understand them are asking for the shareholders agreement to instead of cancelling the shares rather we should allow the company to hold them in Treasury to use instead of cash in the future should such a situation arrive that this method would benefit the company.
whilst I cannot think of a down side to this arrangement, before agreeing to these resolutions, I was wondering what the consensus think....
"Most any LTH knows why the share price is so low at the moment, but few choose to comment on the potential reasons".
The main reason that there is no proper debate on the current share price is that any post that doesn't ramp the share is considered a troll....as for the reason the price is constantly sliding has to be the lack of long term funding confirmation.

you are absolutely correct, every Uk government I can remember ( and I'm now in my 70s ) have kicked the borrowing can down the road, we live in times when a large numbers of people contribute nothing to the wealth of the country and austerity is a dirty word to them.
Have you another solution to the problem other than higher and higher taxation for the companies and individuals who are carrying the burden.
watch "watch eat the Rich" on Netflix, a good look at shorting and what happens when investors latch onto a shorted share.

For us longer term holders its been anything but, I'm 50% down on where I was a year ago...and as you say near its 30 year low....this gravy train has been off the tracks for a while but might just be ready to get going again...I hope.
