Until we can openly discuss every possible reason for what's happening in the world today, there will be no progress. And silencing people just leads to resentment, that breeds anger and the wrong sort of people can end up controlling the whole country.

the first Crusade. So the Crusades starting was a direct response to Muslim aggression. But the Christians as humans often do took it too far and massacred many innocent people.

To be clear I don't agree with killing innocent people either. But to imply Christians just took it upon themselves to launch the crusades for no reason other than the bible is historically incorrect and that there was no trigger for the Crusades is either dishonest, or you don't know the history of it. I agree with that completely, the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful people. So were the vast majority of Germans too, but that didn't stop Hitler rampaging across Europe killing millions. We need to come together both Muslim and Non Muslim people to condemn all forms of extremism, that goes for far right, far left and religious extremism. We need to tell the literalists who act out the bad parts of religions that it's not acceptable.

And haven't even started doing that, anyone who brings up religion as the problem is shot down with arguments. Clearly humans have used religion to gain power in the world. All humans, not just Muslims... Christians did it too... if you read "a brief history of humankind by Yuval Noah Harari" you will see that religion is the number one reason Homo Sapiens are the most successful of the 7 species of Human beings... the other 6 died out. We reigned supreme.

As a species we invented religion to enable us to organise massive bands of people, take territory and win wars. It just so happens that Islam has not yet evolved into today's world... most Muslims follow the good parts of the Qu'ran, the overwhelming majority do.

But the minority that don't are a significant minority, not a small minority successive polls have shown it. And the majority of both Muslims and Non Muslims need to come together to stop the minority from taking over... just like the Nazi's did when they took over the peaceful Germans and caused mass genocide.

I say this with complete honesty. I can count on one hand how many Remainers I've spoken to who have gracefully accepted the vote didn't go their way. The people that say we had a vote, we didn't win, but that's democracy... it's time to make the best of Leave the EU. Literally less than 5 people... 3 people in fact.

The rest of the remainers I've spoken to just moan, can't accept the democratic result, and gets a strange satisfaction from seeing attempts at ignoring the democratic vote.

This is not some tinpot 3rd world country, this is supposed to be the United Kingdom. It might be funny watching the attack on democracy now, but if it's allowed to continue our rulers will think they can get away with other things, and before you know it our way of life will be changed.

This country is very divided at the moment, and the anger is only increasing from what I can see... something's got to give.

Trump started putting tariffs on the EU, what 2 - 3 months ago? And he's already got the EU backing down. Our useless PM hasn't been able to get anything off them in 2 years.

Best thing to do now is to hard Brexit, go on to WTO terms and when Germany's car industry starts suffering they will call the shots needed to secure a deal with the EU.

But we have a remainer who has no intentions of putting the UK in a stronger negotiation position. So we will just need to punish her party at the next general election and fight on politically to get what the country voted for.

Actually 1.3 was on one study I read for Germany... if we go by The world Bank, it's 1.5 for 2016... but it's been declining, so 1.3 is probably closer to the real figure for this year that isn't out yet.

What was funny about it? It's all backed up by statistics. Actually the only bit that's wrong is the German fertility rate is 1.3 not 1.6. The fertility rate of Europe is 1.6

The rate needed to replace a population is 2.1 children per fertile female. If the German fertility rate is 1.3, that means the German population is not replacing itself. If immigrants with a fertility rate of greater than 2.1 come to the country, they will demographically replace Germans over time.

That's maths, not opinion. Feel free to independently verify those statistics.

Muslim is not a race either, just as Christian isn't a race. Both religious beliefs have followers from every race on the planet. All babies are born Athiest... there are no followers of any religion at birth. Religion is indoctrinated into children, if they were never told about religion they wouldn't believe in it because they wouldn't know it existed.

These social justice warriors can't have civilized discussion and in my experience more of them are "actual" racists than the people they bad mouth.

The EU can't fix Non EU Migration which is currently rising whilst EU migration is decreasing which is keeping net immigration broadly flat at 282,000 over the last year.

In 1997 the net migration figure was 48,000.

Germany's fertility rate is 1.6 below the 2.1 replacement rate. Hence why they're allowing 1.5 Million people of a certain religious persuasion to flow into Germany to replace the German population. Same thing is happening here, we have a 1.8 fertility rate, when the replacement rate for a population is 2.1... hence why even though our government has full control over Non EU migration it's actually on the rise because they are doing almost nothing about it.

Instead of making house building a priority to drive down house prices or at least slow the growth till wages keep up with it, and making childcare free for working families to make having children cheaper... it's cheaper and quicker to import immigrants with a higher fertility rate. We are being replaced.

They do this with Dr's too, the NHS doesn't have enough Dr's as the government won't spend the money required to pay for their training. So they import foreign Dr's... foreign Dr's now make up one third of NHS Dr's... but are disproportionately responsible for just over half of all Medically fit to practice tribunals because the standards are not as good as British trained Dr's.

Very bright, very clever British students are now leaving the UK to study to become Dr's abroad if their family can afford it after being rejected for British medical school even though they have top class grades. Most of which won't come back here because they can earn far more abroad.

Last week Trump threatened the Leader of the EU Germany with 20 to 25% tariffs on their cars... this week Juncker comes to make a deal.

The EU is playing with our government like a cat plays with a ball of wool. We've presented ourselves as weak, not interested in putting up any sort of fight, and trying to give the EU whatever it wants.

So the EU would be stupid not to try and take advantage of that, which we are seeing now.

From what I remember reading the Chief Tory whip was the only MP to not stick to the pairing arrangement. And he voted only on the Customs Union amendment to stop Theresa May from having to make the UK staying in the Customs Union a negotiating objective. That was defeated, he helped to defeat it as one of the 6 vote majority.

I understand that the amendment you're talking about was won by only 3 votes...

But he didn't even vote on the Mogg amendment. The Whips work for Theresa May, and the Mogg amendment was against Theresa May, so there's no way he as the Chief Whip voted in favour of Moggs amendment.

But for balance, it's likely that the Whips will be working on the MP's who voted in Favour of Mogg's amendment over the summer recess, and enough of them might cave in to the pressure. So you could be right about it getting voted down.

But even if it is voted down, to be fair, Barnier hasn't actually rejected the collecting of EU tariffs on the basis of Moggs amendment. I do suspect this is the reason, but he's rejected it on the basis that the EU will not allow the UK to collect tariffs on the EU's behalf as the UK would not be a member of the EU.

So it's officially Theresa May's side of the plan that's been rejected so far. How else is she going to get a deal with the EU now when the Customs Union amendment was voted down by 6 voted and the EU isn't interested in her Customs Union by the back door plan?

The vote on the Customs Union was won by 6 votes. The MP you speak off was only one of those votes. If they vote exactly the same way they did the last time, the Customs Union vote won't pass.

Then it will come back to the commons again. The Lords don't have the final say, Parliament does. The Lords are just there to give guidance, hence why everyone of their amendments were voted down by Parliament a month ago.
