Ah I remember now the higher the return from the Lay bet the bigger the loss. It's only when the odds are very low you don't lose as much.

The problem with laying is, you need to risk more to gain... I just bet buttons. I keep the bigger figures for trading/investing.

I don't trade the exchange, I can't be bothered sitting watching it's movements non stop. I know profit can be locked in if you're clever about it, by playing the fluctuating odds. But haven't looking into it in a big way

I'm not confident, I just thought that the value was better for interest rates remaining the same. And as the Bank of England has in the past defied financial pundits on a rate rise and kept it the same, then there's a better chance of that than the odds indicate. It might be bye bye tenner tomorrow haha

This video is of the AFD in Germany. Germany's 2nd biggest party by support now, and they are pro Brexit. They say the EU is afraid other countries are going to want to leave the EU too, so they will make an example of us. Sanctions beyond all economic reasoning.

The CDU is scared the AFD are going to take their seats... they're right to be scared. If the AFD take enough seats they will be calling for Germany to leave the EU too.

That's true they may just move their money to other stocks. But in doing so that's not growing the overall market, because it's money already in the market.

It's difficult to see a compelling argument for a lot of new money to enter the markets. Most stocks are either fairly valued or overvalued. The USA has record employment, full employment. They have more job vacancies than people to fill those jobs.

I've noticed banks have started lowering their max loan to value ratios. I'm seeing 95% mortgages becoming more common... they are struggling for growth. More houses were sold in June, but less houses were sold than in 2017... when they start to struggle for growth they usually relax lending criteria.. and eventually the defaults start increasing.

They've also been engaged in creating similar financial instruments to those that crashed the markets in 2008... But despite this, no one knows exactly when a crash will happen.

China has debt to gdp over 200%... they were growing rapidly whilst the entire Western world was on it's knees... It's also widely thought that China lies over it's figures. Maybe China is the next big crash, taking a lot of Western banks with it.

Whilst I normally take market predictions with a pinch of salt. They do make a logical argument.

The problem with Communism/Marxism/Socialism and nationalising things is... the more you implement it, the more the private sector diminishes and the more genuine tax payers you remove from the system.

When a government worker pays tax, their tax money is just a partial return of the money they have already been paid from tax derived from the private sector, or worse debt the government has borrowed.

In the creation of a Marxist utopia, eventually you run out of other peoples money and then everyone suffers far more than before.

Your posts are frequently very arrogant and condescending towards Leave voters... a massive chunk of leave voters are poor and or working class. These are the people hit most by rampant barely controlled immigration. 1997 Net Migration was 48,000, in 1998 Net Migration was 140,000, that climbed to 333,000 in 2015 more than the entire population of Newcastle in a single year.

Those migrants need houses, and they create big demand along with the existing population. Demand that wouldn't have been as strong if immigration has been controlled properly. The poor who you claim to speak on their behalf, they are already struggling badly with Rents and Mortgages taking most of their take home pay... by the time they pay the bills and other living costs they're lucky if they have anything left. A lot of them have to borrow on Credit cards and payday loans at exploitative interest rates.

Their lives are near intolerable already, and they are told by the Elite like Cameron and Osborne, Multi Millionaire earning a fortune that they should vote out of the EU because it will make them poor.

Life is already rubbish for people like that, risking making themselves a little poorer for the chance of real change... they couldn't care less what the elite, or even the upper middle class think of them. In fact some of them are so p*ssed off with the inequality in this country they'd happily crash the whole lot and bring everyone else down to their level....

Case in point the young who often haven't a hope in hell of saving a big enough deposit to buy a house in many areas of the UK... And Corbyn sees that, he's targeting them with his Marxist ideology... but he's not telling them the whole truth, and neither are their leftist/marxist teachers, lecturers and professors most of which will have benefited from the property boom caused by rampant immigration.

So the Young will swallow everything Corbyn is feeding them, until his Marxism runs it's course and they see they are still as poor or even poorer than they were before.

No we have 1.44 Million. Force them to work or remove their benefits completely. Force employers to take them if it;s unskilled work.

There's an estimated 2.38 Million EU workers. Not 3 Million, and a chunk of that will be seasonal workers.
