This is 🎶 Music 🎶 to my ears, the more the EUSSR tries to bully the UK by not accepting Theresa May's Remain dressed as Brexit compromise, the more chance their is of a Full Hard Brexit.

Although if I'm honest, I know she's an undemocratic lying Remainer, so no doubt the 2nd referendum she said will not happen under any circumstances will in fact happen. Just like the General Election did that she said would not happen too.

Project Tripe/Fear has had months to run in it's full effect all designed to try and change peoples mind in a 2nd referendum that wasn't supposed to happen for a generation if at all.

The trade war is about more than the deficit. If you watch the video on the BBC link I posted it says if a US company wants to sell to the Chinese market they have to form a partnership with the Chinese Government. The Government gets 51% (controlling stake) and the company gets 49%... another condition is that they must share their technology so the loss to the US economy is probably far greater than $500 Billion a year.

Think how many Chinese copies and blatantly rip offs of US intellectual property you see. China is trying to get strong enough so that it's "THEE" top Super Power. Many people bad mouth America. But I'll tell you something... I never want to live under a Communist government... I'm happy with the USA being the worlds Super Power.

If a trade war is needed to put the Communists back in their place then so be it. It's bad enough that we're very likely to see a Marxist government voted in here in 2022, but at least they're temporary. Unless they succeed in removing the minimum term with an act of parliament.

I've traveled all over the world, had to wait in queues all over the world... The longest was Washington DC, but I can honestly say not once did I think the queue was excessive or unbearable. This is trivial, it's no big deal at all.

The big banks are expecting weakness in the market, they don't know where the floor is either, but they've started buying near the last known support level mate. The also use tools like the POC (Market Point of Control), and VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price)

They know where demand has been in the past, so they buy around that level... but they're not totally confident, or they'd have bought the full amount allocated for the buy backs if the shares were available.

The USA drops, but not by much. And the S&P 500 is up. The market seems to think Europe and China is fooked, but the USA will win?

Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, and it's too early to say.

The trouble is, for there to be no Tariffs China would need to give back about Half a Trillion dollars in trade. They obviously think they have enough money in the bank to take the USA on.

They've been posturing to that extent by beefing up their military, still nowhere near the amount the USA spends on their military though... but I wouldn't like to see them go toe to toe.

China was the one I thought would back down first. I was wrong... But I think Merkel has had a word with Juncker given that her government hangs on to power by the skin of it's teeth and the Anti-Islamic Immigrant party the AFD is now the second most popular party in Germany. The last thing she needs is the German car industry taking a massive hit.

Agree with most of that. But the only reason the Tariffs exist, is because these countries won't negotiate on the trade deficit. So he has to apply pressure. It'll either work, trade deals made and tariffs removed.

Or the other countries will stay stubborn resulting in a protracted massive global trade war, millions of eventual job losses, countries struggling big time... and the USA eventually winning anyway.

The USA tends to play to win.

You notice the fastest risers are also the fastest fallers when things go pear shaped? Canada I doubt will cave in. Justin Trudeau is an sociopathic extreme lefty. Watch some youtube videos about him to see how he behaves. He took 50,000 so called Syrian Refugees into Canada, filled up University dorms and Hotels with them, loads of them have trashed hotels etc he doesn't care what Canadians want. I reckon he might keep his tariffs going because Trump will be hated by his Canadian supporters. But I thought the EU wouldn't back down either. So what do I know.
