The two US Banks in either receivership (Silicon Valley collapse is the second largest straight bank collapse) or in trouble, UK arm of Silicon Valley maybe needing a bail out, belief that other banks may get caught out by their investments in low return bonds when interest rates are so high and the possibility that savers demand their money out causing more stress in banks (panic - run on) and pressure on the Fed to ease interest rates to protect against another collapse. Think that's about it! €:)

NGC001 Well the way the completely independent and unbiased media started shouting about how China was thinking about providing weapons for Russia, it was fairly obvious they were wetting themselves that China might jump the gun on them and be seen to be a peace broker. "Don't you dare send weapons to Russia" "We're not going to", "See we made them pull back". Lol.

NGC001 I usually stay out of the war / geo-political stuff, events outside of our control etc. But I've long time been wondering at whether the timing and amounts of military aid is affected by the usual political incompetence, or if it really does look suspiciously like the support arrives in just sufficient quantities to keep both sides in a deadlock.

Yup you're spot on there, given they're subject to (it was 1,400 sanctions before the 9th round?) It's astounding they have managed to start pulling back debt, like yourself hoping for some positive indicators next week, but conflicted because I will have a few grand to shove in after April 6th, so some really bad news followed by GDR's getting sorted €:D yea I know it never happens like that!!!

I am though optimistic about a dividend in September-ish, the BOD are keen, they need to pay bills too, albeit larger ones than a lot of us, and they're steady now with sales and costs are hopefully steadying. I'm not anticipating much riches, I think someone worked out that the average dividend over the years has been 48p, including some lean early years, and last 5 years it's 60p I think, up to the cut. I'm not hoping for that now, just a resumption and maybe 2024 - 25 see if debt reduced and costs under control. GL DIOR DOOR etc

The accounts are there to see, they've enough cash in hand to cover debt payments for the year ahead, (600 mill I think they've got in hand) there's no back pocket full of money sadly. They DO have high carbon already mined reserves waiting to be POX-ed when it's up to full speed, and that's not showing on the balance sheet yet, but I can't imagine it's a hugely significant amount like 900 mill. Debt in 2022 rocketed, and repayments will peak this year and 2024, though they're looking to raise credit or bonds in Russia to spread payments out. The outlook IMO is very rosy end of 2024 onwards, assuming redom and a freeing up of exploration permits in Russia. I'm still very happy to get a small dividend near term and wait for the show to get back on the road.
