tiggerman, Thanks for the invite but I don't have a car and it's a bit far for a couple of hours of buses and trains. If you guys are ever nearer, I'll try and get there. JJ
StellaBob, much obliged. Every little helps. The fifth one (the Bonita Protocol) is a thinly veiled take on Bre-X type scams set in that era if that floats your boat.
JET47, Thanks a lot. I'll tell Jessica Parkin you were asking for her (another of my writing pseudonyms). I don't post much because I havent much patience for feeding frenzies. I'm looking forward to quiting all my shares and writing more books. Wont be long now I feel. have a go at writing, it's great when you're unemployed. I should know... Cheers JJ
petersalkeld, Not your sort of thing I think. Classic adventure, 7 book series under my pen name on Amazon. PJ Skinner. Check 'em out if you fancy. Think Wilbur Smith meets Bridget Jones.
Floater, been in for almost a year in this share so have read most of it. Thanks for your kind suggestion. JJ
tiggerman, West Sussex, looking out of my window at the sea right now. Tide out, seagulls drifting in a strong breeze. Great writing weather. JJ
Thanks Chaps, I think I'll let the facts speak for themselves. I should have known I'd walk into a wall with that info. I totally understand the lack of trust on here. There have been a lot of nutjobs posting stuff in the past. The fact that Im not one of them is a mute point.
EnricoPallazzo, I dont drink much but I reckon I'll be finishing my last bottle of summer rose with bangers and mash this evening. I'm editing my latest novel right now so no rest for the wicked or the unemployed.
Cheers JJ
Hydrogen, I got an email from LSE asking me to check my inbox but then it asks me to subscribe to premium so I can't do that for just one email. So its a case of DYOR and GLA until someone figures out who I am and sends me an email. JJ
Thanks Floater, I'm usually criticised for being too honest and frank, so this is almost funny. I dont care what other people think, I thought I had spotted something of interest to the board, and I'm happy to provide proof by sending the job specs pdf to anyone who sends me a request. Cheers JJ
I was specifically told I could send the pdf to anyone interested in the jobs, so I'm sure its not secret. I think the project is enormous anyway so I'm not going to bother justifying myself any more. If you want proof ask Rock People to send you the specs for the job. That way, I wont be on the hook and you can be sure I didnt make fake news.
Sanboy, I dont know what telegram is and even if I join, who am I posting to? I need someone to chat to on it. An ID or something, I presume. If you give me the ID or what ever I need, I will post the picture.
JJ
Sanboy, If someone sends me an email, I'll send them the file. JJ
napthman1, I am not in the habit of lying or posting a lot of ******. I got the email today and I thought it looked like they had perhaps let some future thinking out of the bag. I can send you the original if you want. I understand that it's odd to include info not on the website in a job spec. That's why I posted it. You can look at my posting record any time. JJ
napthman, it was in an email job specification sent to me. So you wont find it anywhere else. I have been on the books of an agency in Australia for many years so they send me their top drawer jobs. JJ
PaddyGall, It's you I should be thanking. I love your updates and your stirling work to keep us all posted. This project has ludicrously exciting geology. I would have loved to work there but what with Covid and the visa situation, I am stranded at home looking out at the sea and cursing a lot.
JJ
Hydrogen, I'd love to work there, but I'd have to sell my shares in GGP, and leave the bulletin boards. Anyway, I dont have an Aussie visa, and at my advanced age, I wouldnt get one either. So I'll just make loads of money sitting on my arse and watching the markets.
"Exploration activities in 2021 will escalate from 8 rigs to 12, involving over 100 contractors and deep drilling to >2000m, while early works create the box cut in preparation for the decline development."
This was in the job spec emailed to me, and yes, I'm an exploration geo, 32 years and counting.
I leave you to draw your own conclusions from this job advertisement that popped into my inbox this morning:
Newcrest, Australia’s gold mining powerhouse, currently seeks to recruit a number of key professional
appointments for the continued advancement of their Havieron gold project in WA. Heralded as one of WA’s
best recent greenfields gold discoveries, these are unique opportunities to work with a highly regarded employer
of choice who values diversity & inclusion, while enjoying the professional challenges and opportunities of
working on an advanced greenfields gold project as it progresses towards development. Exploration activities in
2021 will escalate from 8 rigs to 12, involving over 100 contractors and deep drilling to >2000m, while early
works create the box cut in preparation for the decline development.
Filtered drunkinftl . I don't need that on my feed. The meme was perfect and hilarious.
I've got an even spread between EUA, GGP, SOLG, and AGL. If they all doubled from where they are now, I could finally buy a house with cash. Not too shabby and a great return for taking the plunge when the markets were rock bottom. Fingers crossed and GLA
