So after 14 years they have finally realised that they are flogging a dead horse. Who would trust them to run another company?

Sirius's shares leapt 9 per cent on this development, although the as-yet-unnamed bank still needs to complete its due diligence and internal approvals. Should this fall through, it’s not clear whether a “pause” in talks with other lenders can be easily resurrected, particularly with the Woodsmith project coffers set to run dry in a matter of months. Still, this news appears positive for our long-term buy call (23p, 25 January 2018), even if events are set to come down to the wire. Buy at 19.7p.

Tend to agree with Tiger - the sticking point is "Construction Authorization by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism for the treatment plant as a radioactive facility". as reported in the January quarterly report. Without doubt Stop Uranio has helped delay this final step and there is no indication by the company of when this will be resolved. I believe that the Construction Authorization will be granted in due course and I remain a long term holder. However, I will not be adding until all consents are in place. Offtake contracts are already in place at $42/lb so don't see the spot price affecting much in the short to medium term, however, a rising Uranium spot price would improve sentiment towards the sector.

Think it will just tick over until they can make a start on the Italian cascina alberto assets - seismic next year. Once permits in place it should start to motor especially with Shell farm in. Might even add to my holdings on positive news on permits. Would have to 20 bag to recoup my losses on current holdings. Can't see it doing that any time soon!!
