Barclays never fails to impress me. I hold just under 13,000 shares, and it has to be the one firm I was least worried about whilst sticking money in to share during covid. May she breach one and half shortly :)
hopefully be losing less perhaps Caitlin. I didn't smile too much when she dropped sub 2. I'll be happier when she creeps in to 3 territory and a smile will come if it ever hits 4. My average is around 4.97, i am not hopefully it will get back there for a few years, but who knows! Can't moan too much, up in all other segments, but oil for me is a howler!
It's hell of a hard to know what to do with this darn share. I have previously done really well from it having sold on the 24p or so spike on the day the news was announced. Then I stuck 10k back in a few weeks later, and for months sat on a 5k loss! Now it's gone the other way and I'm sat on a 5k gain. Part of me was coming on this morning to sell initial stake and keep profit, but now I'm at a complete loss. There appears no sense to this share.......
P.I's need to be very ware of this share! Don't get taken in by the clap trap spouted on these boards. The leverage multiple on this must be eyewatering, it was eye-watering before the pandemic..........
Iweb got 24p for me (after continually clicking sell and it failing), so when it came up I sold out. Then luckily stuck it in ITV, and averaged 59p for them. Yes agree long term SAGA must be worth a further punt, but then that's what I am thinking about the rest of my disastrous shares.
having sold at 24p on Tuesday morning, if Saga starts going in to 15/16p territory, I might buy back in, and hope for another bounce. Whilst Tuesdays bounce was purely down to the investment news, this share has surely got to be worth more than currently is?!
I echo previous posters thoughts, it's not a nice feeling to see a share price rise on news like this. I don't overly think Trump is a loose cannon like the press are now portraying him as. By his lack of inaction on ALL previous military issues, it's usually more bluff and bluster. That said, reprisals are a huge concern for any human life. I've been in BP for a couple of years now, and own circa 6,000 shares, and my average price paid is a penny over a fiver a share. BP's disappointed me a bit, I know it yields well, but that's in part down to strong dollar against the pound. It's debt is far too high, and it's not in fashion. Broker reviews have it gaining much higher than todays SP, but I rarely see broker reviews achieved. It's not a fashionable share, even Mark Carney was pulling it down these type of shares recently. I do wonder if I am holding too many in the longer outlook. For the next few weeks with escalations in Persia, it's going to be a good share, but I do worry longer term.
well done to the ones who bought low, stuck it out, and now you are reaping your rewards. I bought a grands worth at the end of Sept, and sold out at the end of Nov making a hundred quid. So I was happy back then. Well done once again guys.
Well my 2k invested in Farn at one point today was worth 4.9k, but I didn't sell, i held on, and what a huge mistake that was! I probably fell for the game that ensued, but sold 2k's worth to get back my initial investment, and i am now left with 754 shares , so yes I have my initial investment back, and it's all profit, but not the profit i could have gained if i had sold earlier today. It always happens to me, then i panic and sell etc etc. At least I still have my 754 shares left, and Monday will be interesting times. That said, Farns RNS indicated no investor news by year end, but going in to next year?, so surely this means we aren't going to see any action upwards anytime soon, if anything i would imagine it'll drop back. This share has been such a Roller-coaster and the roller-coaster just doesn't seem to stop!
Same here Colly, I bought on the massive fall I think was last year and paid 125p, then stuck more in a little later, and have absolutely hated being in the share. Time after time I was going to cut my losses and sell up, but thankfully I didn't! What a great ride it is :-)
