"hold your hats gentlemen"
onthebottomrung I really have no idea. I assume if just me and the 15 tick ups then probably nothing but if we got say 1000 of us to do it then perhaps a positive affect on the SP. I don't know enough about shorting to know if it would have an affect on them.
"The big sell off will start around 14:00-15:00 and the SP will start to drop as the profit takers cash in. Good luck to them."
The thing is the spread on this share is always so wide that's not really possible.
Selfishly I hope so. I held some funds back assuming that when we got the figure for the 5% it would drop - whatever the figure was. Historically it seems bad news drops the price, good news drops the price and no news drops the price. Perhaps the trend has been broken
Thanks for the response. If nothing else they look good and there is something pleasing about holding physical gold. I can hide it under the bed and "forget" it's there if they ever means test me for care home fees. LOL
Hi Speedymeadie. At the risk of being assassinated myself what's your opinion on the way POG is reacting at the minute. I have been buying Gold Britannia's for a couple of years as a "hedge" but it now seems even that's not right. Everything I touch breaks, I dare not go for a ****.
Mumbo_Jumbo I assume you will be filling your boots at 6p then especially as SD has already offered more than $60m for a 5% share and for some reason Newcrest declined what they must have considered to be a very flattering offer. If owned something worth $60m and you offered me more for it why would I decline your offer?
It would be interesting to know the offer GGP made Newcrest for 5%
"In March 2022, Greatland submitted a non-binding offer to Newcrest to acquire a 5% stake in Havieron for a substantially higher value than determined as the option price. Greatland did so because it considered the value of Havieron to be well above the value implied by the option price and would, in the opinion of the directors, still have presented a financially compelling outcome to Greatland shareholders. Newcrest did not engage on this offer."
That is probably a better indicator of what Haverion is worth, not the $60m that we have achieved.
