The need for testing is going nowhere1 Oct 2021 13:07
Just had this message from my childs school..
Dear Parent,
Advice for Children close contacts of positive COVID-19 cases
We have been advised of confirmed cases of COVID-19 within Year 7 at xxxx School. I know you will join me in wishing them well.
We have identified that xxxx may have been in close contact with an affected case. In line with the local guidance we recommend that your child has a PCR test (if they have not tested positive in the last 90 days). Please book online at: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
Your child, and other members of your household can continue normal activities, including attending school provided your child does not develop symptoms whilst awaiting the PCR result. We ask that your child takes a lateral flow test before they are next in school and every day until the result of the PCR is returned. Thereafter we request that they continue with the twice weekly lateral flow testing programme. If they receive a positive result from a lateral flow test, they must remain at home until the results are confirmed through a PCR test.
