I'm no expert (as many will attest to), but the way that I see it is simple supply and demand. The sale increased supply into an environment that had plenty of demand to (pretty much) balance it out without too hefty a knock on the SP, hence little SP impact. I would expect that the upcoming purchase will be creating a demand that does not have the same level of balancing supply until the SP rises (to what value, I don't know). Spike and pullback? Yeah possibly, but I would suggest that any pullback will be to higher levels than current, and as Dip666 said "I'm focused on what the price will be going into 2021 not a few weeks".

And I should have added, the point about the ISA is a very good one, and I think I'll be looking to build that up a bit further.

Tigg, I wasn't looking for advice on how much I'd need, rather how much other people feel they'll need/want (just for a bit of fun, I obviously communicated the question badly) , but I do appreciate the response and the advice (and I mean that genuinely, not in some passive aggressive way :)) I've got a few years before retirement age, but would love to retire early (57 - 60 would be just peachy). I agree on the figure of 1m,its certainly my initial target. All of my shares are either in SIPP or Shares ISA, except for some that are currently not trading and got kicked out of my ISA.

For clarity, if they sell 'just' Havieron, they would not be selling a branch of the company, they'd be selling an asset, different thing. That sale would obviously put a lot of money into GGP coffers. There would likely be a special dividend paid to shareholders with the balance being kept to fund further exploration.
