It’s a fine balance on how much they give up. They could have hit the jackpot if they hadn’t diluted so much in Karuna as they did, however, had it failed at P3, they would have needed to raise off the markets. I’m pleased they aren’t doing the Phase 3 alone as it would become too high risk for me.
It’s a very interesting time for Puretech. There are two likely possible outcomes here IMO. Either they strike a good deal with a big pharma on LYT-100 and continue with the same model as happened with Seaport, Karuna etc or they are bought out by PE or a pharma company.
