POSITIVE... that is the word of the day. Going to plan, next area for development in pipeline... professional but personal approach... small miner, finding large diamonds (hopefully) and in-of-itself a company growing (especially as now an explorer and diamond producer. All good.
Waiting patiently... also with such a chaotic market over the last week, may be best if the (very much hopefully) good news RNS isn't drowned out by other events. It seems as if we have some calmer markets so far...
Does anyone have history of how previous companies that the board/leaders have worked on, sold for when bought out?
The management team at Botswana Diamonds have a proven ability to identify attractive diamond prospects and develop them into valuable assets. The team was part of the successful discovery and eventual sale of the Karowe diamond mine by African Diamonds for $90 million. Lucara Diamond Corp bought Karowe in 2010. The mine is now one of the world’s leading producers of high value stones.
The team developed West African Diamonds which later merged into Stellar Diamonds for $6 million value.
Botswana Diamonds (BOD) was formed when Karowe was sold. It took the exploration interests from African Diamonds. The Company was admitted to AIM in February 2011 having been spun out of African Diamonds plc, on its sale to Lucara Diamond Corp.
In 2013 BOD created a 50/50 joint venture with Alrosa, the mining giant, to explore in Botswana using Alrosa technology and people, and BOD licences. Results are beginning to flow in 2015.
The founders have a long track record in exploration and in Africa having established numerous stock exchange listed companies including:
· Minquest – Acquired by Arcon
· Kenmare
· African Gold – Now Mwana
· African Diamonds – Acquired by Lucara
· Pan Andean – Acquired by Petrominerales
· West African Diamonds – Acquired by Stellar
Always good to remind yourselves why Mars was so good, and hopefully therefore TR etc - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gVJ6fmlF6k
I'd hope to see a 'point' at which, as you say, that free float diminishes, to such an extent market forces apply... meaning the SP rises until someone feels they have profit enough to sell. Given the 'good' news we hope is forthcoming, the stepping stones... the fact over the last few years not a lot is sold really, we find those holding do so, to such an extent, that the price has to rise. If we were to see a flurry of sales driving down the price fast... then as many shareholders are family, friends and those working at BOD, then we'd assume bad news is leaking out.
Having been with BOD for a good few years now I have learned that patience is the key... hard to have that when it's getting to the 'exciting' part... but step by step I see that we are 'growing' and look forward as well to a Bright Shining Multi-faceted RNS.
