It seems to me, that a number of posters here are simply trying (with a degree of success) to hammer the price down before the vote. They are trying their damndest to crush any form of positive information at this uncertain time. You all know who they are, many are repeated "war propaganda" posters. Their aim is to sow FUD. Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt.

They dance around the meaning of the word "can" or "will", they deny telephone support information is of any value whatsoever, when all in many cases they have is vague but very inflated overstressed "concerns" or "friends that have told me". this that or the other.

All should do themselves a favour, contact your brokers other brokers and Polymetal IR yourselves.

I, for one, am not (as some here have accused me of) "panicking", but simply using the time available (I have made myself a timetable/calendar of final dates and actions required) to find out what options are available to me. I do not have the largest holding (so my wife used to tell me) of posters here but it's substantial one, I have simply posted what I have been told by employees of the companies involved, take that as their handle on the situation at the moment and nothing else, it may still change. We all know that these things are still in a state of flux, but to me that's even more reason to make sure of the veracity of information and any actions to be taken.

I am still undecided but seeing the path more clearly every day.

That's interesting, I called them (HL) earlier today, and was told, no problem and that a transfer of Polymetal can be done in ISA from ii to HL. The view was very clear.

As i have said, they did say that divi's are not yet worked out neither was the split if that happens.

I also suggested that they get more info out as their name is becoming mud in some circles.....

We will see.

Thoughts on vote.

We hold shares in a "challenged" company. Once a beacon, now battling, to a degree. But...

Are people happy with the managements past performance?

Do people think that the focus on shareholder value has materially changed?

Have the management been able to tell shareholders of all the potential issues at work here?

Do shareholders trust the management going forward to make decisions?

If not, have people seen better management elsewhere?

stan, in a phone call to them today, i was assured by hl trading that it will be possible to hold poly in your isa. they have not worked out yet about dividends, and kaz/ru split though. (they are going to update people on that in due course).

i am not yet a hl client, but an ii one. today ii said that they will not allow poly shares to be maintained in a clients isa.

my advice ... give hl a call and get it from the horses mouth, not from some of the horses ****s here.

That specifically says "cannot be traded electronically" I wonder then, if they can in fact (in the future) be traded over the counter (OTC) ?

Thanks. It seems that more brokers are now saying that the shares can be maintained in their clients ISA's and SIPPs. Obviously they cannot be traded. What is unknown it seems is what will happen to the dividends that Polymetal will pay to shareholders, what would happen to any PolyRu holding if gained and if it would be possible at a later date to transfer all stock (PolyKaz and PolyRu, (see proviso)) to an AIX active broker (especially if one decides to offer ISA and SIPP services in the future). Great (partial) news.

Now, I only hope that ii change their minds and offer the same, saving me the hassel of a change. Time will tell.

Are all of the telephone conversations recorded? ....Yes they are. Do you really think that with that in mind employees would go "Off piste" with information? I don't.

Not assuming that they (the company that is) could not change their minds at any time, but to me it's a reason to hold off from doing anything until confirmed rather than sell up shop and move to certs as some have done , possibly due to all the doom and gloom spouted by some here.

I really don't know if you can read and objectively and understand, but I have said all along that it’s best to ask people in the know. You on the other hand have only said wait and see. But you seem to forget that these issues are all time related and possibly time limited. I make my decisions based on investigating options in a proactive way. You like to paint that as panicking, that's up to others to decide upon. If others wish to wait, possibly until it’s too late, or to act in ignorance it’s up to them. Already some have taken certs it seems when details are still being finalised. How has that helped them? You do your way, I’ll do mine.

There seem to be a number of people here now advising inaction. People need, in my view, (but it's up to them) to ask the people that know (their brokers or other brokers or Polymetal IR) for themselves.

Second, that's why I said that people should ask for themselves, to wait for another note to be issued, simply reduces the time left to act. Have you asked them yourself as to the meaning of the word "can" ?

New buys are not the same as existing holdings or holdings of shares from other brokers. You're simply posting more F.U.D. Do you hope to get in at a lower price? If in doubt ask them yourself.

I really do not understand why you continue to sow confusion on this. (others may).

You should ask them yourself.

1. Polymetal AIX shares, when they list there, CAN continue to be held in an existing ISA account, as the AIX exchange is an ISA recognised one. They will also accept new account ISA transfer holdings into a new ISA account.

2. They cannot be traded when on IAX and as such will be in a dormant state within the ISA wrapper.

3. They as yet do not know what the situation regarding dividends will be and are working on that question.

The result of any PolyKaz and PolyRu split and it's results are unknown at this time as it's not been finalised by Polymetal.

They are sticking to their issued note. Customers cannot hold Polymetal shares in an ISA after the move. They are assisting with free transfers to ISA's opened with other brokers and with share cert issue.

Looks to me, that notwithstanding the dividend matter, that I will probably (unless an ISA qualifying broker emerges and depending on Divi question) transfer mine to a HL ISA account.

I agree that there is much confusion. (I said as much to Alfie at HL), Words have different possible connotations depending on context etc. My ave price is sub £1.90 so I only see an upward trajectory long term. It makes more sense to me at the moment (though it still depends on a few other factors), to leave them in an ISA if possible (divi's notwithstanding) and save a hefty annual tax bill.

I have just gotten off the phone with Alfie, from HL. (one of their specialists) His reply was very clear regarding holding Polymetal shares in an existing ISA or in fact with ISA holdings from other broker companies being able to be transferred into a new HL ISA. (He stated that this process would take between two or three weeks for a transfer from another company)

"Yes, they can (meaning it's allowed) be held and continue to be held in a HL ISA account." That is the simple part.

He was less sure about the situation if/when Poly split. I said that he sees no reason why if PolyK was relisted on LSE that they would not be able to be traded once again. But this is not yet decided upon by all concerned. HL/LSE/POLY etc.

His reply to me left now room for confusion or ambiguity or misunderstanding. Please ask yourself.

The unsure part is that he did not know the situation regarding the payment of dividends. He has asked a question of their dividends team and will send mew an email bot answering that question and reiterating his answer re the holding in the ISA.

I will post his reply in full when I get it. He has confirmed that this is OK.
