I think a lot of people here think uog has lots a cash but that's not the case in fact it just the opposite, if they do proper research they might understand that.

They do expect to receive an initial £2.45 m by middle/end April from the divestment of Maria from Quattro if all goes well, but they received $4.8m last year from divestments and only had a cash balance of $1.4m at end of year!

They are also awaiting the Ash 8 well test results and providing they are good will it will in reality possibly only replenish the decline in production and if not so good, hmmm.

As far as M&A goes I don't think it's not just a case of being careful but more like needing funds to make a deal, imo.
And as for share buybacks not going to happen imo, where would the money come for that?

This is indeed an excellent result and only took 8 days to drill which means that RCE-4 could hit TD by end of next week!
Don't think we will see a massive spike in the sp in one go but a more sustainable rise as each well comes onstream.

Going on past Ash drills

Ash 4 took 44 days.
Ash 3 took 35 days.
Ash 2 took 29 days.

Obviously every drill is very different.
It would be very hard to try and guess when Ash 8 will reach TD especially as United really only reveal the actual spud date after the drill is completed and even when it has reached TD it might be a few days later before they release an rns saying so.
Nearly every drill is completed ahead of schedule and I'm not sure what the timeliness are for Ash 8, maybe someone else could help or you might be better emailing uog as they are very good at replying.
Going by last update spud happened before 26th Jan but exactly when seems to be a secret that they keep to themselves for now.
Sorry not much help I know, just a guessing game.
