That any deal done between Sainsbury and Asda should it clear the regulators will not happen until the second half of the year 2019 ! We should be well over 350 marching towards 400 by then hopefully ?

JMO - exactly to be honest not really interested in the Asda Sains merger it’s a distraction and won’t happen imo if it does they will have to sell off a bundle of stores and who are they going to sell them to?? I would suggest that dear old current owner will have to dig deep into its own pockets still at least a year away so Tesco will be well positioned by then and probably at around 350 by then

Well said JMO - equally people seem to post on here that the deal is done between Sainsbury and Asda and it is most certainly is not, and until it is Tesco remains top of the pile. I suspect we will see a pull back on Sainbury's SP when it starts to sink in that the regulators will determine what will need to be sold off to make it even likely that the merger will be fit for purpose - If as I expect it will be declined and what then for the pair of them?? Asda struggling with its owner wanting rid of it and Sainsburies needing something to give it a huge lift to make it market competitive. Wonder what tune the CEO will be singing in the months to come???

AAS - correct me if I am wrong but where exactly is it playing catch up on its rivals especially as we stand it is the number one UK grocer? As for ramping the stock may I suggest you take a look at recent performance and figures they actually speak for themselves I believe. You might also take a gander at the SP which also indicates a three year high. Your comments on surrendering the lead in the market, may I politely suggest who it is surrendering the lead to ? As for individuals nursing losses from the glory days giving buy advise I bought in at 150 when you and the likes of WWT were posting the demise of Tesco to sub 150 and predicting a march onto �1 and that the Booker deal would not happen well I am not sure about posters from the glory days but many of the posters on here are celebrating the return to form due to our excellent team and as well as a growing SP and dividends as well. Claims of abuse usually in my experience come from winging derampers who have missed the boat and to are fed up with being so consistently wrong- I think dear boy that it,would be fair to say that you fall very firmly into that camp. No arsenal remember he predicted sub 200 and falling rapidly with in particular Booker shareholders running for the hills. Notice he went fully awol when the latest tesco results were released and he spent two weeks scraping off copious amounts of egg off of his face. To be ignored a keyboard warrior and an oxegen thief You have to wonder what his motivation is claiming he does not short or deramp and will never buy tesco ? Not too many mates methinks ?
