Your house analogy isn't quite the same as checking an sp as with your house you are in it all the time so know it's not crumbling around you and you always have a rough idea what other properties sell for around you whereas you can check different stocks in the same sector tomorrow at midday and whatever is going on with them sp wise there could be some sort of wild swing with the sp here as other shares are not an indicator of how a certain share may be performing on any given day.

I will always check the sp here, most probably even in 20 years time even if I'm no longer invested, I don't blame anyone for following what happens with this co every day especially if they are all in and your life savings depend on this project working out or not, not saying that it's mentally healthy because it is not but it just becomes like an addiction I guess you could say.

You're most probably better putting your post up on the Emerson board on this site as obviously the posters on there will will able to give a more detailed response, I have to following them also, may one day take some profit from here and stick some in Emerson depending what their sp is that point in time. I first added them to my watch list when they were 3p and they are now over 5p so i would be looking for them to drop back to the 3p range before I would buy any.

I agree with regards to what most have said with regards to a take over sp, 50p wouldn't be any good as the sp hit that 3 years back, look how far the project has progressed and been derisked since then!

I'd be interested at £2-£3 per share minimum, if a company is prepared to pay that then I would sit up and listen and seriously consider voting in favour of them taking over, otherwise i think I will continue to build holding and reap the rewards in the future instead.

I think that was more coming out of mouth over the last few weeks to be fair.

Ok thanks, seems a long time to have to wait as presuming I don't get the extra shares, then I will have around £4000 not available for up to 2 weeks which in theory the sp could drop to a price that I would like to buy at within that 2 week period, not sure why it takes so long, never had any issues with HL so hopefully it will only be 2-3 days waiting for the money to be returned.

Hopefully I won't need the money to invest if the sp stabilises in the 25p - 30p range within the next couple of weeks which it's looking very possible that could be the case.

What I meant was if I apply for extra shares on top on my allocation but don't receive any extra then do I have to wait until the money they don't use to be returned to me account?

Is that right that for example HL would take 2-3 weeks to return any money that they don't use in the OO to your trading account? I just presumed that whatever they don't use out of your request they would just return to your trading account balance within 1-2 days? Can anyone else here who uses HL shed any more light on how will work with regards to this side of the OO? Thanks

My bad, I miscalculated, looks like I'm going to have to find a few hundred £ more, won't be an issue, will have to juggle a few things round as looking to get as many as possible for 15p, weather they will even grant me one extra share over my 14000 allocation remains to be seen, hoping for the best though.

As things stand and presuming that there is no drop under 15p between now and Wednesday at 11.30am I will be taking up my allocation of 14000 shares and will be requested extra which if i get them all will gain me 28000 shares in total, this will possibly, (hopefully) be the last top up (£3500) that I will have to ever make (i've said that to myself on 28 previous occasions) unless the sp drops significantly below my 17.5p average in which case I will most probably grab some more but hopefully it won't come to that now that the project has been significantly derisked! I don't understand why everyone doesn't wait until the last possible moment until they commit the the OO just in case the sp did dip below 15p, guess there is always the option to cancel your OO instruction though if you change your mind.

Interesting, has that been known for a while or has this info only become apparent over last couple of days? the sp needs something to get it moving back up, maybe this could be it! Great news once again then.

So we are in effect hearing from more than one source that the project is ahead of schedule, all we need is for the company to officially confirm that that is the case, the next quarterly update will contain conformation hopefully, surely they have to start coming up with positive updates now to at least try and get the sp back in to the 20's at least.

I know some say that the BOD arnt bothered about the sp but do you really think they want the sp to be lower than it was 3 years ago? doesn't exactly look great from a management point of view does it.

But CF stated the other day that he is not going to rest until we are a ftse 100 20 billion company, think it will take a few years for that to happen so not sure what makes you think he would walk away in September?

No worries, if it is the case that the official open is January 2021 then all it will take is to be a little ahead of schedule and we will be having the opening ceremony moved forward to late 2020 which will give the sp a nice boost no doubt, looking forward to the next quarterly update which I believe is already around 1 month overdue?
