It was heavily oversubscribed and I would have been just as frustrated as you in same circumstances, but it very often happens that in trying to get shares to smaller PI's there is a cut off amount in which you get nothing and say someone who asks just for £500 or £1000 gets the lot.
I am of opinion this still has further small drop in it whilst placing shares are muddying up the waters, but WHO approval will be a nice little counter to this. Strong hold for me, might even top up if price drops when placing shares hit market

One thing In2win, I asked the question the other day about how many shares people had put in for. I only put in for £2000, and I think it was scart who said he had put in for roughly the same amount. We got ours. Certainly wouldn't dream of teaching granny to ....., you're possibly far more of a sophisticated investor than myself, but perhaps anything over ,say, £5000 didn't receive any. That's why I put in for a rather modest amount.
I tried another account and asked for £10000 and got nothing there.

Be careful Parkzy, once she's out of hospital it will be a story told often -" how she was in labour and all you were doing was on your phone buying and selling shares"

@scart and Invest4theLT - just out of interest how much did you put in for with HL?
I put in for £2000, and looks like I lost out, but never know in these situations whether to go for much larger amount and get scaled back, or just to try for , say, £500 and hope to get the lot

Word of warning In2Win, be very very, VERY careful using stop losses. It is not uncommon for MM's wanting to fill a large order to drop the price for a couple of minutes only, and mop up all the stop losses set usually 10/15/20% within the bid price, and then immediately raise back to leve you robbed of your shares!

Agreed Teabiscuit. Which is why I for one am not too unhappy about RNS released DURING the day (although I agree wholeheartedly that the the timing of this RNS in particular. done AFTER the previous night's, was shall we be kind and say a bit 'underhand'). If the RNS had been at 7.00pm the MM's would have dropped the price before you could have even contemplated selling. At least you were given the chance to sell even if it was hectic keeping on top of the falls. In this case, with hindsight, if you had not looked at a PC before 10am you would have for the most part been unaware of all the action

When you can't get a live quote use a bit of ingenuity and set a stop loss near as you can to the current price and wait a little.

Not so Franco. I managed using stop losses all the way down WHILE it was falling and kept hold of my(much smaller) profit, my ave. being 155p. My last stop loss triggered at 163.25. Bought back in again since at 184p
