The 'role reversal' re the Hedge Funds is sublime, and best Christmas present all LTH's could have asked for!

The bots are still playing blinders in limiting the rises, no disputing, but King Canute and some seawater comes to mind.

They can't stop the rising tide, and any further nice RNS 'surprises' will catch them with their heads well and truly underwater!

Must admit to being with you a bit on that. The hedgies work very slowly in extricating themselves, and some of them still have their heads above water. The ones who upped in the 20's must be suffering, but I don't see any real sign YET of capitulation, HOWEVER it WILL come, and the writing is on the wall. Further interest and volume and people holding/buying will only add pressure and speed up the process. I'm sure there will be some late nights for the likes of Helikon in working out how to salvage the situation.

Another RNS on balance sheet improvement etc. though, and they're well and truly'Donald Ducked'!!

Onwards, whilst obviously regretful of the situation your mother in law is in, I think your disgruntlement is with the workings of the stockmarket, and at your age appear to be a little late to the party in the realisation that the whole shebang is 'manipulated' in favour of the professionals, hedge funds et al.

Best advice I think you could have given to your mother in law , years ago was to put her money somewhere a lot safer than the stockmarket

It's alright calling out nuisance posters eg snapchat, but anyone can post on chatboards, and just because they may take a different view to you doesn't invalidate that, even shorters.

Look at all the bot 'sells' from 09:43. Absolutely frantic in trying to hold the price down.

Just hold your nerve Al, don't be bothered by short term swings in price, look at the 'value' to be had at these prices. Things are on the up and we have been massively oversold. Nobody is hiding from the fact that the balance sheet needs some care and attention, but that is in hand and with large contracts already landed, back in ADNOC's good books, the future is rosy.

Don't forget WB's remark "the stock market is a vehicle for transferring money from the impatient to the patient"

If you don't feel comfortable then just cream off the 'profit' - your shout and no-one can tell you what to do
