Afren eyes further Ebok expansion offshore Nigeria 11/01/2013 Email Print 0 Facebook 3 Twitter 1 LinkedIn 4 Share Offshore staff LONDON – Production from the shallow-water Ebok field offshore Nigeria has averaged more than 35,100 b/d of oil, boosted by three new development wells. Two were drilled in the north fault block (NFB) and one in the west fault block (WFB). A water injector well to spud soon will is designed to optimize and support the existing NFB producers. Operator Afren expects the central fault block extension platform to be installed in early 2014, and the partners will target additional reservoirs in this area. They are considering further options for the NFB, which could mean drilling development wells from an extended WFB platform, with production achieved through Ebok’s existing mobile offshore production unit. Following completion of an ocean bottom cable 3D seismic program over the whole Ebok/Okwok/OML 115 license, Afren has firm plans for a first exploratory well early next year on the Ufon structure. The GSF Monitor will drill this potential 65-MMbbl prospect, which Afren says is structurally and geologically analogous to Ebok and Okwok. Elsewhere off Nigeria, the OML 113 partners are considering drilling and early production on the Aje field, and there may be development synergies with the Ogo discovery in OPL 310, Afren adds. In the Tanga block offshore Tanzania, Afren is interpreting final processed data from a 620-sq km (239-sq mi) 3D seismic survey. Simultaneously, the company and its partners are working up the shallow-water Chungwa-1 prospect and the deeper-water Mkonge-1. They are lining up a rig to drill two wells, starting with Chungwa-1 early next year. This will test Tertiary, Cretaceous, and Jurassic reservoirs, targeting P50 oil resources of 210 MMbbl. 11/1/2013 http://www.offshore-mag.com/articles/2013/11/afren-eyes-further-ebok-expansion-offshore-nigeria.html
just sent you an email, re eer.
still no time deadline given in the rns after 6 months of waiting, again the promised "advanced stage" , could have written this in less than a minute rather than 3 months since the last update, "how long is a piece of spaghetti" very long in mr borrelli eyes, could have done better after this long wait, as they say on Halloween "boooo".
borrelli has gone over the wire, alarms are ringing, shoot on sight, nobody has ever escaped from "the BiRDY of Alcatraz".........come on alex enough is enough, what are you going to give us in the next 15 minutes.
my stomach is churning while we wait this out, will be over the wire soon enough, will be classed as "the great escape" borrelli will tell you "good things take time ...like their food", good luck to all today
nice rns, and there will be more, send for the lady Kentucky she has plenty of experience with "fishing tools"
scary stuff , hope Freddy is not joining the board, we will all get slashed to pieces, ps how is the burnt out slate mine , you can always sell it back to acp to make briquetes, i'll buy some shares and be your ceo if you fancy a new venture, do not worry about any delays "aim" is used to it.
lewek andes arrived at rig monitor around 4.30 am today , trawling around after spending 2hours alongside rig, gla.
past the six month deadline by 14 minutes, deal or no deal, listed as being a maximum of 6 months from 30th april at 7.30am, what is going on, I have a very long garden path which I have now reached the end of, over to you mr borrelli for an update.
morning, no sign of the update , no golden egg, have you noticed the wording on eer's webpage "apache 2 test page" , question is now to sit and wait.
we now have the "apache test page" on EER webpage , must be ready for our update in the morning, cockadoodledo , I can hear the crowing that's going to lay a golden egg .
sent you my info
yes a good day and good luck to your holdings in lek, waiting for a bigger push towards news, trust it not be much longer, watch out for the "Kentucky lady" says she is a fishing vessel but I think it's a spying vessel from the pentagon as mrs turtle or murtle is paying a visit to the rig, ha ha, all the best
ship movements is all a bit of fun until we have some real news, at least it's the only bit of live info we receive at the moment, awaiting for the rig to be towed onto it's next destination (that would be a good indication that drilling is over, atb gla
sent you an email
bobby has left the rig and is retuning to port Harcourt as of 3.15pm, hanging in there for the fillet steak.
