So Plus goes ex-div at the end of the month?

Seems like quite a lot of weakness could set in over the next 9 days as it has dropped 5% and not even time for din dins?

Hope this is temporary and not a sign of a longer trend although buy backs continuing?

I don't have L2 as I am a rank amateur at this - does L2 show a trend towards selling?

I'd a thought that if buy orders need to be filled then maybe the SP is walked down occasionally to trigger SL's or to foment profit taking.

I'm quite pleased with this speculative punt and am curious to see what happens Feb 12th (final results?) . This does go up and down like a yo- yo but since I bought in July last year the trend is up. Long may it continue.

How soon is 'very soon'? best guess?

I've been looking at the RNS history and I couldn't see "final results" - the interims (2019) were issued in August and Q3 2019 in October, following the 2019 RNS timeline once expects Q1 results 2020 to be issued in Feb 2020?

I might be wrong in my analysis of previous RNS as I didn't write any of it down - just went from a quick scan and memory

Thought I would see what would happen over the next 12 months to the divi and SP before having a total loon out.

Anyone got any thoughts on the interim and forthcoming final when they go ex-div in Feb 2020?
Interim is a lot less than the 2018 interim. Intriguing stock this - well IMHO it is - I was attracted by the yield which seemed to be too good to be true so I'm running an experiment which seems to be going OK since summer 2019.

Oh, I'm up on the deal but I'm a minnow as far as skin the game is concerned. Probably got enough now for a day trip to Eastbourne as opposed to Margate. I'm curious and want to see how this plays out as the historic yield seems to good to be true and I want to see what the forthcoming yield will be before thinking about a larger investment/punt. Thnx for responses

So, I am wondering why there has been a significant drop back from recent highs (> 800p) despite the ongoing buyback.

I would have thought that a publicised strategy of buying back shares would create demand due to a reluctance to sell and therefore support increase in SP?
Or, has this drop back merely been the settling of some froth?

Jeeeez, I reckon if this share had hit the jackpot you would be sharing advice on capital gains tax avoidance. Why the hell should my taxes go to funding a speculative gamble for a few PI's?

Righteo, bit of an uninformed novice. Seems like some of those open short positions have been open for quite some time.
If they are open from a long period of time does that mean that there is a certain degree of pessimism about. And 7% of stock shorted seems to be quite high?
The upward trend here over the past few weeks would suggest that these short positions are becoming more high risk for the shorters?

This has got me wondering. Ex-div in early Sept and I think from memory it is 11.5p plus 31p(???) special divi. So that total of 42.5p seems rather paltry in comparison to the drop from the high tide mark in July. Wonder if it still has a 42.5p drop in the SP before Sept?
What's sentiment like? I travel a lot and it seems like every motorway outlet and most high street outlets are busy. Seems like this should solid over the next few years?

So, if I put a BUY order for 50,000 at 695 would some nice MM walk down the price to fill that order? On which case, if someone had a hiyyyyage war chest they could send a huge BUY order at some crazy price (or is there some indeterminate margin within which these parties can operate) knowing an MM will walk down the price to trigger SELL orders. Isn't that manipulation?

Ok, a question from someone quite incompetent but competent enough to invest in these quite some time ago.
That special divi, yeah? So, the recent fall in SP has resulted in my stop loss being triggered. Now that I am out does that mean I miss out in the special divi? My thinking is that there is not much point buying back in for the divi if the SP might fall some more.
Done all right here and maybe I should keep my winnings off the table and look for something with a better yield. Thoughts?

Well, just a sense that small PI's could be frozen out: that's all - and a certain degree of ennui.
