I was going to say I have belled Lse a few mins ago asking them if they would consider keeping the BB open should SM delist so we may have the occasional chat and share info if we ever get any! Do private Co's adhere to HY/FY reports? I doubt it will be a monthly newsletter a la the racing thingy...no skin off their nose...i'll keep a note of your suggestion a-2-b on that privatisation 'companies house' No doubt they will have to file reports, be audited etc...As to further funding I agree minority holders are unlikely to be asked for further funds....unless W has gone skint. W will want more and more of the pie imo. As to the £5000 inv in CPS 8% would they ever pay a div? and as cellis says even in shares you won't be better off, about 250k as against 500k (best check my figs)...so unless I'm missing something why such an unpalatable offer, other than to extract money from gullible holders? If it's designed as an added layer of protection I can't see it. Of course there may be an ulterior motive by W&E which I alluded too a few posts back however they would be soon rumbled and I cannot see W&E risking their reputations, licenses for something so blatant. Pity Sphere didn't turn out like St Nicholas!!

I'd be very wary of doing any MB deals in a private Co. You might want 10 and the buyer who might have inside info and knows the stock is worth 15 or more snaps your hand off. Very risky. I'd prefer to act on an independent assessment of the stocks worth but that might not be available....pity we know of no one who has expirienced this situation. I guess it's a case of committing your shares until we get an offer or re - list. Just another risk we are faced with and most certainly will not suit those who need instant access to their money. We could be tied up for years or there might be a healthy market in the stock among investors? Whether details of deals struck are advertised I do not know....another worry. Seems transparency might be on the light side....

God knows how much money has poured into Sphere's coffers at nil cost, must be £60m or more, jeez what a return for 10 or more years of blood sweat and tears. And the begging bowl is once again stretched out with veiled threats of insolvency if we don't agree to vote 'yes' and pay up yet again. Now we know why the bod would not buy in the market! They couldn't act like WB who is straight with his partners....... he tells them he would not buy BH stock because it's overvalued or he buys when it's below intrinsic value. He unfortunately is one in a million. As to a predator sniffing around after millions spent on P and being sold throughout Europe we would be cheap as chips certainly below the last OO price. I'd have to say unless Woodford has told any interested party(s)... "hands off!" Then P is a 7 day wonder and will be found in the cemetery reserved for British technologies that died through lack of 'Get up and Go'! Or no bloody brawn. Perhaps going Private is our salvation and once again we will be asked to trust a new (I assume) bod If does not appeal....

Del...to clarify if you want to subscribe to the warrants @ 2.822 you must first have bought the CPS shares at 2.822 and these will be issued pro rata to the nos of CPS stock bought. That's how I read it.

Third day of falls sp headed sub 1 penny. I think this represents a false market in the stock though sellers need an exit door they are being heavily penalised. If this price represents value then one must conclude the value has all but been wiped out and trading is on a whim & a prayer basis. With dealings stated to continue till 19/9 (assuming a Yes vote) sentiment may have improved and confidence returned but investors have long memories and are in a very unforgiving mood at the conduct of the bod towards pis. Blaming Rencken etc...is really pointless as the signs were there everyday from c 75 down to pre crash point of 6. I chose to ignore them believing P was the B all of bga's...patently it was not as few bought into the advantages of the device for why who knows? That story has yet to emerge. Can it really be the 9 month time lag that scuppered P? We're the sales force not up to the job? What was Concillium doing these past 5/6 years? I guess we will never know and perhaps best left well alone? Whomever Woodford appoints to head Sphere, better have a firm hand on the tiller. I remember years ago saying Sphere needed more brawn, not more brains, seems I was right.

Penrose should tell those pressuring him to pay out a substantial divi to get lost! Use the money to grow the business not for pis to ipss up the wall (as I would). Why the sudden largesse with our money jeez if we were netting £50m a year fair enough.... but we ain't! Of course you may think they will waste the money anyway and the cash would be safer in your pocket Well its a thought!

Ask yourself ABLE apart from the ridiculous attempted bid from those losers in Canada why has no major UK company bid for Spo? GVC a very well run outfit has eyes on Coral/Sads....why? Given the increased regs and a potentially catastrophic hit to profits if the one armed bandits are limited to a couple of quid a spin, increased estate charges, increased redundancy costs, the closing down of betting shops, Sads had 4 in the space of 2 miles along my high st not long ago....now none! I don't rate our management as high as GVC's or rather didn't until they put feelers out for Sads....bad move. Could be a blind as they prepare a stealth attack on cash rich Spo? Will it happen? No! Why? Too bloody obvious! I thought the logical move would be a tie up with Betfred...again too bloody obvious. Maybe Spo does not tick the right boxes but us or Sads, WH and PP where would you invest....too bloody obvious!

Not rec'd info from Sphere yet my part of the road is always last on posties walk. As to b v s cellis too shell shocked to tabulate those nos when the sp fell from 6 to 1..TBH i don't think it makes any diff as the MM's are filling Woodford's boots and past experience tells us the more Sphere you buy the cheaper it gets.. Wonder where all these shares are coming from? All of a sudden 28m are changing hands!!....though today bvs are on a par so just churning the stock. Mrs B is a pragmatist she's used to the ups and downs of the pub business as well as stocks. I put her in two which produced excellent results so am not barred yet. I think I do the worrying for her!

Methinks I'm getting dazed and confused by the intricacies of the CPS / warrants/ options / et al.... Put simply if you go private and add extra shares you must think the Co will be worth multiples of the current mrk cap of £1.4m (3 x Renckens salary) FFS! ...that has to be a bet worth taking on a 1-5 yr view. Past history says we have been hopelessly wrong (since the IPO), so we're back to square one. I think Proxima 4+/5 has a future in the bga world stateside. So will stay the course hoping that new management can get Sphere off its sare! The ball is very much in Woodford's court, he will need to find a super sales man to take Sphere this Co out of the morass it's in....

Cheers Del....tres interesting!!! Though the timescales of 9&5 years are outside my preferred limit of under 5...(and im def not persuaded by the 8% coupon payable in shares!). My thinking if Sphere can't become a profitable Co by 2022 (2 yrs for P5 plus approvals) and 3 years to become a commercial enterprise, then if sales proceeds were only £5m off a bid.....then forget it, the preferred are wecome to divvy it up. You will have backed the wrong horse so nothing new there for me! Load up at 1+ seems a better option....

If you have the 'readies' you have an e/w bet...loading up on the cheap and buying warrants...Unfortunately I'm not able to do so but I'd def consider the warrants option @2.822, not the CPS as I don't think divs will ever be paid unless miracles are back in fashion.. and as a holder I would not want them....preferring the money to be re-invested longterm for the benefit of holders!.......oops this is Sphere they don't do benefits to holders...best ignore...cash out and move on....oops just woke up...mines a pint please Mrs B!

Do you think any divs will be paid while all our money is loaded onto P5? Jeez how long is that going to take to get up and selling? So £5000 is a lot of money if divs are your main concern. Should the Co ever receive an offer the CPS and Ords will rank pari passu.

Don't think for one minute this has been cobbled together in a couple of weeks. W & E have known/planned this for months & months. Sphere will be an entirely different animal as a private Co with I'm certain a different bod structure. W will have to be ruthless in any restructure of the Co if we are to have any chance at all...

cellis I'm pretty sure the new CPS will take precedence over the ordinaries should they ever pay a div. Of course you have to hand over £5000 to find out! Two classes of holders never been keen on that!
