Reccomendations....in a huge growth area for Idea...as usual the mrkt looking at the corner shop.

New contract win for Ideagen its first in Pakistan. Engro will adopt Pentana tor its internal audit automation. Engro based in Karachi has subsidiaries across the world.

About 225k went through at 110 --sellers were given short shrift at 108-ish. Total trades around 17 and vol of near 300k on the day was better than last few days. Tech 350 up 14 (1552) but down over last 5 days.

Bit of two-ing and fro-ing on the trades front....don't mean anything buys v sells - forget it means zilch. Hard work if your a day trader the barrow boys see you coming a mile off. Gut feeling this is lower short term as the upside is limited imo to c.120-130 max which given the shares outstanding might be the limit on metrics. I won't go into them now as I'm sure you can do your own research. For Idea to really move out of the backwaters of Aim its gonna need a big move up either by acquisition or interest from the USA. Neither of which are on the cards to date. Not to say present malaise can't change in an instant given the manipulation of the stock....and this includes going lower...a lot lower.

Most shorted shares on Aim as of 3/18. Telit 10.8% - IQE 10.7% Purple bricks 2.6% - Prospex OG 1.5% - Blue Prism 1.4%. The All Aim is 2.2% down ytd the best performer on the London market.

Little to add 21 deals c.147k traded mostly buys but the mrkt doesn't want this higher... make of that what you want. Pretty much unchanged on the week the shares went xd and the T350 fell 2.4% and ytd down c.14%. The wider mrkt 100 fell 175 on the wk (7069) down 8% ytd and below the level on 1/1/2017. That we are not much lower given the shambles of the Government negotiations on Brexit is a mystery. I cannot see the markets making headway until we secure a good trade deal now muddied further by Trumps threat of imposing Tarrifs which might provoke a trade war with the EU, China & Canada. Against just these two uncertainties the market aint headed North.

A good few buys going in...but the barrow boys are obviously long the stock and are happy to trade this in a narrow range as future direction is very uncertain. Best keep it u/c & their books square. While the odd buyer appears the jobbers will be hoping to catch the unwary with their troosers down. Dont blame them - its their cash at risk and managing a small vol Aim quote is extremely risky. A very risky sell atm for short termers imo but I'm guessing of course. Us longs can lie back and look to sunnier climes -- safe in the knowledge that whatever the 'noise' says the money keeps rolling in even if the rest of the mrkt needs a blood transfusion as pis desert this 'dodgy' (that's about as polite as I can be) market. Stay on the sidelines and watch....thats what im doing. Doubt there will be a 'Black Swan' event in the near future but fingers crossed a bid would put the stock out of its misery loves Aim company and give the 110's a small profit. If your thinking 200+ forget it.

Idea went xd yesterday.

Another small vol & deal day when buys were c.3:1 v sells - managed to push the stock down to 108 bid. Sometimes you have to suspend disbelief at the actions of jobbers. Regrettably in many companies share prices are more a figment of imagination than representing the asset / earnings capabilities of companies. Whatever when Mr Market is in one of his manic depressive moods its a chance to pick up some cheap shares in good quality companies with above record achievements, in Ideagens case one of never disappointing the market these past 8 years in chief metric of what counts most imo - earnings per-share earning power. Thats what pis should be focussing on....and Ideas scorecard is exemplary on that count and look certain to extend the record this year. Remember your buying a piece of a business not a stock price - one is buying value, cash flow, profits and future earnings even if the price gets disconnected to the value in the short term. Idea has been in the game for nigh on 10 years and it's past track record is as good an indication of the future as anything...after all they must have figured out how to do it by now. All you have to do is figure out if your a trader or an investor. If the former best check the ticker every minute if the latter-- only the long term matters and what Idea can produce 2,5 or 10 years down the line.

Now pushed back to late March. Omens are not good as Trumps 'America First' policy has deterred UK buyers....if there was ever any? A moribund sp says it all a take out around this level looks odds on. I have moved on as has my other interested parties too many uncertainties re regulatory risks / US gaming laws make Spo not worth the candle. Good luck if your staying the course.

Armasmax....I get your frustration! For sure it might be worth billions but...here's the thing...Not to you! Took me a long time to figure that simple fact out. Mrkts rarely reward early stage investors who invariably become disillusioned, bored or worse (lose money) and throw in the towel. I know 'they' say investing is for the long term...but there's long and long!! I usually post on G board where similar frustrations abound and was one of the reasons I sold out ie: value was being eroded month on month, a bod that had no interest in serving co owners of the company while paying themselves handsomely for tanking the sp from £11 to sub 100. Nat's school fag dumping stock way further up than current was almost the last straw! Good luck.

Lowest vol of day trades i can remember just 12k on 7 deals most at 111.0 bang on mid price. Interest has tailed off dramatically since the US market plunged in Feb. Investors in all stocks are not prepared to risk further monies in these manic markets which many think are headed much lower - the recent Feb plunge signalling the death throws of this near 9 year long bull mrkt....possibly. I'm undecided. While int rates remain low, company profits healthy and global trade profitable their seems no reason for mrkts to do other than self correct at times. But heh since when do mrkts need any reason to do what's expected? Tech 350 was u/c on the day (1561). Sentiment a big driver of share prices is poor in the UK, Toys R Us, Maplin & Pretzo the restaurant chain seeking administration is another blow to the UK High St. As ever Brexit hangs over like a dark cloud confusing investors as to the likely outcome for the UK economy. Sell now and ask questions later might be a good policy if you have stocks showing gains. If time is on your side - by that i mean at least 20 years you can sit out these wobbles and even if we head into a full blown bear market these rarely last 2 years nowhere near as long as bull one's.

In the DT today an 8 page pull out titled 'A Giant Awakes' towards a brighter future. Not one mention of Zambeef!

The machines duly slammed the indices as stop losses were crumbled in the afternoon sell off and programmes sold on ever lower nos. Volatility is back just what traders want who hope to front run the dips by selling and timing the buy backs to turn a coin. I refer to Mr Jones. Whatever these strategies are of no consequence to long-term holders as they usually play out in days. Only 41k traded (last recorded price 110.80) with no movement in the price. Im happy with that as the jobber boys seem reluctant to try and drum up business I shall return to my 'masterly inactivity' stance pending a move up or down.

Another nothing day in terms of volume and bargains dealt and any passer by looking at the trades board would give Idea a wide berth seeing nothing but red numbers. You have to check every trade to get the true picture as many buys are listed as sells. Extremely annoying that you have to scrutinise every bargain and tbh rarely bother nowdays. If lse ain't bothered why the hell should i? Fed Chairman confirmed what most expected that he would raise rates as much as 3 times this year to contain inflation edging towards his target of 2%. The Dow off 150 has calmed down a bit and currently down 73 at 1.00pm.

Some blue appearing on the trade board (365k at 110) late from Friday and 110 looks to be a solid base for buyers to reappear. Unless your shorting or taking profits and moving on I see no reason for the stock to go sub 110 Of course if 'the market' wants it lower it most certainly will - either driven by mms or the machines they get what they want and I don't exclude 'mates rates'. The T350 gained a miserly 5 yesterday still 11% down ytd v the tech heavy Nsdq +7% ytd. Maybe we should list over there?

5.5 off the sp this week as sellers dominated the action till late on Friday when 545k was traded at 110 (mid price) but I'm thinking on the Buy side. Whatever Idea continues to win new contracts and on a very regular basis which is all I'm interested in as the sp will eventually have to reflect the increase in Ideas earnings & revenues. I'm confident they have a pipeline of more companies to be signed up to Ideas range of software and 2017/8 will see those graphs rising yet again. The 350T is 11% down ytd and peer group Sage up 10% / Idea up 9%.

Arm, Autonomy, CSR, Imagination, Logica, Mysys and Fidessa? All taken over by Overseas technology companies in the last few years. Though a tiny % weighting on the All Share the industry is a major driver of global growth. M&A in the UK sector even if US based is no bad thing provided they cont to invest here backed up by the Take Over code as exposure to foreign co's albeit with currency risks spreads your portfolio diversification. Whether idea is large enough to attract a predator i dont know but you can be sure someone is having a look.

Very much your usual non o...lie AIM trading day for Idea. 5 deals / 34k vol the sp in a penny range throughout. I don't -wanna -be holding -these -over -the wk/end Friday is upon us, so see another very quiet session. London called lower at open but reckon an up close to the day albeit the ftse still 5% down ytd with the 350T down 10% on the year.
