Re gas plan no rush..13 Jan 2019 06:30
Genel RI might get past the iis but I very much doubt pis would be keen to invest unless it was at a substantial discount, perhaps at c.170 / 160.
With only 280m issued there is scope but one would need to be persuaded of the terms.
1 for 1 or 2 for 5 etc..it can be a minefield.
In effect as a holder in G you must decide whether Gs old shares are under-or over- valued before deciding.
Can't see that happening and as you say Boyo it would need some guarantees to persuade pis of the need to raise cash and to use profitably. Do we really need to? I see no pressing reason outside of an acquisition that must be earning enhancing immediately, no HUR or Sound Enrgy pie in the sky nonsense.
I for one would not support a RI (if I was invstd) as present management are not proactive enough for me for as you rightly say 'wots in it for me Guv?'
At this price G is in limboland hardly a go-go stock just battered around the 180-220 and i'd imagine the mrkt would take a dim view of an RI.
From memory RI rarely turn out well for invstrs. I have supported RI & IPO in a couple and the stock price sank below the offer pretty soon after.
It might be seen as opportunistic so beware those come bearing gifts.
