134 firms listed on the US public mrkts in 2018. C.80% were loss making and 33% were tech/bios. Recent fav Uber floated for $82bn in April a month later declared a $1bn loss.

Some say the US mrkts are in the midst of a 'disruption bubble' as more and more prepare IPOs.
Airbnb is next on the list of companies whose overall aim is gaining mrkt share to squeeze and disrupt incumbents. The end goal being mrkt domination.
Some will make it most will not.

No-one foresaw Msoft & Amazon hitting $trillion valuations, after suffering 90% & 65% price falls along the way.
Invstrs get very excited about these disrupter Cos
often with values that bear no relation to their true value. They also burn through money like their is no tomorrow.

Think twice before you buy into the next .com dynamo. I know I invested in one that was going to change the way blood testing / analysis was done forever and look where I am now.

June has been a very good month for equities considering all the potential global pit falls. The S&P (+7%) had its best ever since 1955 & the All Share gained (3%).
But how have the mrkts performed ytd?

Mixed results on US mrkts Thursday the Dow traded in a narrow 140 range focussing on the economy and Co earnings.
Walgreen Boots nos impressed but Boeing skidded $11 to $364 as further software problems arose on the 737 MAX jet. The 30 lost 10, the 500 added 11 and techs put on 58.
The economy grew at 3.1% forecast 3.2% in Q1 while jobless claims grew to a 2 month high. Crude (WTI) slipped 36c to $59.06. China trade talks were set aside for the session as scepticism rose on any positive outcome.

Asia trades nervously ahead of the 12th round as G20 talks were underway. Trump will be meeting Putin later today and XI Jin on Sat. The Chinese have a set list of terms that must be settled before any chance of an agreement. These demands were the stumbling block at the last round in May.
The Nikkei heads down 90, HK off 161 & SH lost 26 late on.

A man was travelling abroad when he received a call from his sister informing him that their father had died unexpectedly. As it was impossible for the brother to get back he told his sister to take care of the funeral arrangements and send the bill to him.
Returning home he saw a bill for $5000 which he promptly paid.

The following month he rec'd another bill for $15 and he paid that too. Another month followed with a similar bill. When in the next month, a third bill was presented he called his sister to ask what the hell was going on. 'Oh', she said.....

Now here's the question.
Why was he receiving monthly bills for $15?

Very tempted at 75'ish to add. My alter ego egging me on....another £500 is really
risking little in the reward ratio stakes. I had temporarily earmarked that into an o..lie, at least its movin 'on up! Best I wait to see how the 'don't wanna be holding these' over the wk/end brigade play their cards.

unwanted promo stuff (front runing the latest hot tip...usually) id be here till Xmas. If ever you need a 'RED FLAG' Do not lull yourself into acting on unsolicited
e-mail promising you riches. You and me know that's a N0-NO but to the unwary?

Stock slipping on low sell vols. Neither here nor there to the longtermer. Question for me is do I risk a purchase now or wait till this Brexit nonsense re Oct 31st is finalised one way or another.
I think Easy will do well regardless but the mrkt might well over react if we crash out deal-less or on WTO. It's a wait'n see for me.
