CPO closed $519 in places! Anyways that's a $9 rise on the wk (in places).
REA added 3 to 112 on 9 deals and 9174 traded.
Better than the last few wks but very little interest shown in Plantation stocks these days by pis.
Have to say most are not very pis friendly accept perhaps Dekel Oil from what I have heard.

Of the big London quoted stocks, MP Evans was little changed (-3) as was EPA (flat), Dekel slipped from 3.10 to 3.05 and Anglo Eastern off c.5p.

Comparable nos for the 6 months to June'19 due shortly.

In all sincerity I would trust your forecasts way ahead of my 'stab in the dark' efforts.
Concerning posting I've always thought it to be 'good form' to hold stocks
you pass opinions on.... else why bother?
Apart from anything else it should concentrate your mind if you have cash at risk. As i don't and there are plenty on this BB who could do the 'mrkt nos' best I move on as i have to make my limited funds work for me and I have not been able to do it here.

I will of course keep my eye on the BB and hope this comes good for all lths, for that is your lot now!

Trump said at a rally in Cincinnati that "he would tax the hell out of China"
That would be the 10% on the $300bn of products exempt atm, that would directly hit the American consumer. Most of these are tech products and consumables.
Should he go through with this on Sept 1st that's everything that China exports to the US.
Vix the fear gauge index jumped 11% to 18 as stocks fell.

Stocks tanked on the news the Dow falling 280 (26583) and 630 since Monday. Crude suffered a near 8% fall to $53.95, Exxon down 2.65% and bond yields fell. Gold headed up to ($1462) at one time.

Asia retreated on the threat of further tariffs the trade battle now turning into a full scale trade war.
Regional losses were c.2%

Investor uncertainty has seen selling across all sectors with sentiment at a low for the year.

CPO $513.30. Shares u/c on 138 sold @ 108 one bargain dealt.

Good that 700 ish extra rooms will be added and if we can get 80%+ revpar that's a nice chunk of extra change.

Bloody hell Aston Martin plunges off the road to a new low after a ridiculously optimistic IPO last year (Well done the Invstmnt Bank/never give the suckers an even break...see Genel IPO as well) succouring in gullible Marquee freaks to the overpriced stock. That's their job.
Shares plunged 20% to 456 down 111 at one time after the stock got stuck in first gear posting a £78m loss £21m profit last time. Shares closed down 70 at 498. Not for me at 200p even in overdrive reverse gear if such a thing exists?

With the wk end coming up dealers were queuing up at Waterloo St to get a train home to catch the latest episode of 'Home and Away' the top tv fave of mrkt mkrs and teenage scribblers...I know I was on the train....my head in the buizz section of the
ES i spied......

NEXT, Oh my God! This Co continues to come up trumps with a strong Q2 performance, sales up 4%, profit up £10m to £725m, shares gained 448 to 6064 and are returning surplus cash (£300m) to holders via buybacks (suddenly all the vogue) whatever next?....
........Here's a great British High St success story that goes largely unnoticed and to think I could have bght at 10p....grrrrr!

US stocks slipped lower after the priced in 0.25% cut (2.00-2.25%) range the first in many a year though many think the US economy does not warrant it. Borrowings are at historic lows and equity sentiment on the bull side
and many think the Dow at sub 30,000 is a steal.
Well in another world perhaps......not that I have any insight on that.
Best guess is mrkts look toppy and are ripe for some fresh fruit pruning pre any Brexit / China trade moves. Stocks sank, Powell not committing to more cuts, then rose late on only to turn lower before close. Dow off 334,
500 fell 33 techs 98 and R2 11.

In Asia mrkts were little moved as trade talks concluded with no breakthrough.

You get brain damage holding/following this stock. One of the reasons I'm 90% soon to be 100% out. It's too bloody frustrating for a man in my dotage!....ok for you young'uns who can ride the slings, swings and arrows, time is on your side.

Not saying I like the easy life (nothing's easy owning stocks)
but at least try to react positively to good news would be a start. My fault for believing all that tosh about cash flow, profits & production which mean diddly here. I expect to be G less or should that be legless by Friday?That would mark my c.6th year of posting and accumulating losses here. Enuffs enuff.

India is likely to impose a 10% tax on imported palm in an effort to help soya growers.
Palm production in Malaysia slipped 1.4% in April to c.1.65m tonnes as inventory levels remain high keeping a lid on prices since Q4 2018.

However Jan-June saw Malaysia overtake Indonesia as top exporter to India with a huge jump of 86% in imported oil to 2.6m tonnes owing to the 5% cut in duty from 10% between crude and refined oils back in Jan 2019.
