I think India is now a closed subject in so far as once negotiations are under way 'in camera' so to speak no news will be forthcoming until a resolution is agreed. The wheels of Justice turn exceedingly slowly in the bureaucratic driven Indian legal system. I remember a comment from one of the lawyers for SPO who said to arrange a meeting with the respondents side could take weeks due to times, dates, meeting places being changed and lawyers ill health etc. This was back in the early 2000s so things may have improved.
I doubt the mrkt put any significant value on Bhukai so it makes it difficult to fathom the drop from a mrkt cap of c.£28m to £11m on news from India which had more hopium value than cash value. Is one to think India had a value of £17m? If so, the W.Africa assets are considerably undervalued.

OK...

Very quiet trading this morning, sells c.35,000 buys, c.53,500 shares unchanged 13/14. I suppose one nagging worry is how will PAT fund the expensive litigation and retainer fees the shysters will want? India will of course drag this out for as long as possible and will try to break PATs will to stay the course.

Somewhere along the way PAT might think... "lets wash our hands of the whole bloody business" as it's completely uneconomical with no guarantee of ever getting paid out and maybe having a derisory... "take it or leave it deal" on the table.

A bit more interest in REA yesterday, well volume wise, where buys outpace sells by 4:1 (d-t-d) shares unchanged. Might be on back of Mpe nos which went by in a blur of indifference from the mrkt despite the overall good numbers. The shares were unmoved.

Expect the jobby boys will open this lower to accommodate their shorter mates.

The start of the bull run as oversold stocks rallied from year lows. The Dow fell 3492 (14%) in March (ftse 909/14%) as the pandemic cont to sweep across the globe.
US cases hit 86,000 with 1300 deaths and in the UK 11,660 cases, 578 fatalities. In one year UK Covid cases increased by 36,838% and deaths by 21,700%. Pubs were to remain closed till July 4th.

Morning all.

Once again or should I say pretty much regularly daily trade volumes differ widely. Volumes today on lse are c.280,000, on MS 415,000 and 588,000 on the other LSE. When the three information providers i use to cross check facts and figs cannot agree on a number, a useful guide for pis becomes a waste of time. Makes you wonder how much more misleading info is out there doing the rounds and for goodness sakes don't go anywhere near trying to check Navs, Ev's, Roce's Pe's or betas it will drive you crazy.

PAT fell 15% today on information that was already in the mrkt, ie India was a bust & going to be a long drawn out affair for any chance of compensation. We knew that yesterday. So why the 26% drop at one time this morning? No doubt a scare tactic by the barrow boys which didn't quite come off. If we ever strike Gold in W.Africa don't for one minute think this stock is rocketing skywards, blue sky miners are long gone and talk of £5+ a share are wide of the mark imo. Lets see what Labola brings us in sp appreciation terms. I hope mickey 1122 is right.

News re India has killed the sp but to be fair it could easily have come from another source, a poor result in W.Africa for instance. My point being any bad news kills an Aim stock as most do not have big iis backing or cash flow resilience to weather any storms or a Black Swan event. Was India a BS event or a Bull**** one?

At least India news is now factored into the sp, I'm guessing it is, so any further falls could provide a top up for the brave for as WB often quotes when there's blood on the streets....or be greedy when others are fearful.... get your cheque book out.

I came in on what I thought was a 50:50 bet at best. I'm making it 45/55 against now as sentiment has been kiboshed and gloom surrounds the stock. Once confidence goes well, you know the drill typical Dog of an Aim stock, blah blah blah. No'one wins that way. Is it too late to sell if your in higher up say 20+? I'd say yes unless you want to crystallise a loss, and your opportunity cost may have gone by now.
I'm out of the money, holding a high cost low price share and intend to hold, wait and see.

I bght in here on a 2 year view and see no reason yet to change my view. Of course if the facts change then so will my outlook. India given the years of inactivity was never a consideration for me so I get your hacked off star786
but in a years time if drill results go as expected all this Indian nonsense will be long forgotten.

Whether the sp agrees or not is an entirely different matter in this covid market. Tbh I don't know how to value PAT but who does years down the road? The barrow boys use a finger in the air to set prices as good as any I suppose.
Institutional backing is limited I'm guessing 30%, insider holdings add up to little, possibly 10% and Broker comment is non existant so we are taking a lot on trust from the CEO.
I have learnt from previous mistakes not to go balls deep on a stock unless I have been down the mine and seen the nuggets and then go back and check!

Does it matter? $20 either way might be good in the revenue column but not in the sp column. Not much interest in the good nos from Mpe but you didn't expect any did you nobull?
Pretty sure the sp will pick up once the analysts have slide-ruled 2022 nos.
A div yield of c.5% ain't to be sniffed at.
