Total volumes smashed through 1m on the week to date. Only 146,601 today with sellers outpacing buyers by 6:1 on 10 trades. No change on the 14-16 spread.

Not convinced the gold price is a driver of PATs shares atm but for sure if we strike it rich better at $2000 than $1700 so heading the right way. US Treasury yields pulled back and China tensions over Taiwan provided fodder for Gold bulls and futures.

Any slippage in the time line will hurt the sp for sure as will any subsequent events, for once investors are hooked up to the 'hopium' syringe they will need their fix on a regular basis. Just one of the many pit falls of investing in early stage expo stocks. We all know the risks of which constant news flow at this stage is the most important bar finding gold nuggets.

Delayed news breeds discontent and rumours become factual, the shares fall, investors leave in droves. I suffered months of this some years back awaiting confirmatory news that could make or break the company. It was not a pleasant time. I hope MB has been under promising and will over deliver in due course.
Any news good or bad material to the sp should be made known immediately. So far so good on that account!

4 trades, c.76,000 all sells could be buyers waiting for 12-13...

Mixed to flat start in Asia this morning. A shaky end to US mrkts sent the Nikkei 60 lower at open and the Hang Seng tumbled 370. Tokyo stocks with ties to China are lower on worries PM Suga may align Japan with Biden's hard line stance on China when they meet on Friday.

Worries over bank lending and Company indebtedness hit China bank stocks, taking a 1% hit on worries the Govt will widen the scope of stress testing. The SHCOMP is down over 1%. Chinas Q1 GDP nos are due on Friday.

star786 your right, 'done deals' are pitifully low atm but this is an Aim backwater expo stock bush-whacked by the India news so I'd hardly expect hundreds of daily deals. This week c. 54 bargains have been recorded.

If mickey1122 is right about the sp in the coming months and when the 'Mob' arrive this will be a whole different ball game.

...mickey1122, as the free float and significant holdings are a State Secret punishable by death on disclosure we will never know the exact nos of shares outstanding. Pointless going to shareholders list as these are long out of date. Why the LSE do not stamp down on Companies/new holders, lax on updating these important numbers i don't know. I can only assume finding someone who understands such matters is proving impossible (that's code for dragging them out of the long Bar).
I agree when this persistent seller has cleared out the drag may loosen but imo as one leaves another appears.
Around 581,000 were traded yesterday and I'd estimate buys v sells was neutral. I wish I was as confident as you mickey1122 but am happy to be proven an old misery guts when it comes to PAT's sp this year.

Morning all.

Any half decent rise will get sold into its the nature of share trading these days. Today a classic example, a 251k buy and sellers swamp the board almost immediately. With millions of shares in loose hands as someone posted earlier its 1 step forward & 2 back. At least someone is picking up the sells, most likely the trade.

TBH I don't think there is a 'safe strategy with expo miners yet to strike gold so to speak. I'm not balls deep into PAT just enuff if it goes t's up for it to give me a headache.
I didn't see prev post so I'm sure none was intended. I'd prefer to be averaging up of course but little sign of any moves in that direction as of now...

Morning nobull. Absolutely it could happen, I suffered something similar a couple of years ago. My bone of contention is the mrkts reluctance to equate the Co value to the stratospheric palm price, I mean they should be co dependent shouldn't they? Your well made points are a concern which some investors have picked up on, especially a cheap MBO or worse taking the sp down into the 30s. I'm thinking I could be better off elsewhere.

Do I have faith in this board to act in shareholders best interests? Er, no! Which is another reason I have reduced c.90%. I have kept a few on as a just in case basis.....that my fears are overblown but on balance despite the 'assets' case there are no compelling reasons to hang about.

The % spread is still a drag on the sp and volumes imo. The 16% + costs if it goes south takes a lot of making up. Sellers got the upper hand yesterday c.1•8:1 more than buyers (bofp) calcs.

Suspect its more likely 'fed up' investors selling out rather than concerted short position being opened as you'd need the shares to go to c.11•00 to turn a coin, too risky a bet for me. If you think we have hit rock bottom nows the time to buy or add.
I trimmed from another stock to add yesterday and have some ammo left-over just in case we see any sp weakness. They say there are risky shares, very risky shares and then there's PAT (add a name of your choice) which sums up the risk/reward on offer here.

I've bought into the story (missed the introductory). I thought Chapter 1 about India was horrid, so looking for Ch 2 to be a more interesting read which should take the story to the end of this year. A blockbuster finale in Ch 3 sometime in 2022 taking PAT to the top of the best sellers list would be top of my wish list.
