I hope you are right Stephen but I am a bit more cautious - the devote web page states that the programme launches in April 2023 and further details on each project will be announced after the devote programme officially opens - but that doesnt mean the projects will be announced in April as I read it.
How will a family be aware of different antibiotics. These are babies that have never had antibiotics so how will a family know if they will have an adverse reaction....unless they have the test? Or have I missed something??
The DEVOTE projects will be announced by the end of April so we will know in the next couple of weeks if we are one of the projects to receive grant funding .
We were informed only two weeks ago in the funding RNS, the expected news flow in the next 6 months. Its ludicrous therefore two weeks in to read all the 'we need news now' otherwise we are doomed messages. Judge Mr Budd in 6 months, anything else is just unrealistic given what we know and what we have been told!
You can't judge their sales team just yet. They have never had a world first product to sell with NICE endorsement. Medical sales take time and we've only just had the green light!
Fundamentals are all in place for a positivr few weeks/months...funding sorted, NICE approval, international distributors appointed, FDA application, possible DEVOTE programme grant, stroke pipeline etc etc.
The only scenario I see is that following the NICE guidance and promotion, the NHS are going to take this up big time. It prevents babies going needlessly deaf and is cost effective. I cant see how a NHS trust could defend to the population it serves, why they haven't procured it.
Hi. I emailed the devote programme about when it gets started and this is their reply...
Dear John
Thanks for your email and interest in the DEVOTE programme.
