Now I have deal dealt with Chards for years and their prices are very fair. 1 oz of gold today costs almost £2300. This means a Krugerrand in any condition will carry the gold price. A circulated, marked Krugerrand of any year is the next cheapest. An uncirculated, unmarked coin will bring a higher price. An uncirculated, unmarked “proof” coin brings the top price. Now the proof coin you highlighted from Chards ( 1982 costing £2472) is scratched, hence the lower price. Now I have almost 400 Krugerrands of which the majority are proof. Do your sums. Now why don’t you do what you know best (gas meter reading) and stop getting involved in subjects you know SFA about.

There is no tax, there is no VAT and there are no papers. These coins are classed as “bullion grade” and are NOT uncirculated. Check the Chards pricing. The coins I will receive will all be dated 1980’s. Now I repeat get me proof uncirculated Krugerrands and I will give you £2400 per coin. Just for the record the 60 coins I ordered and paid for on Jan. 01st are now worth a further £220/coin. A cool £13000 more profit. Have a nice day.

Spot on day on the Island of eternal spring. The beauty of where I live is that Brummies are very scarce here so no language barrier. Imagine a Brummie attempting to speak Spanish. Now two weeks left before I depart on the golf and Krugerrand run to SA. Mid summer now so perfect. I have now just short of 400 and that is it. The ones I buy now are all sold on. What an investment gold has been.

Sorry dsrt once bitten twice shy. Just a little push and no more banking shares for me. I live in Spain most of the year and I cashed in my Spanish Santander shares a few weeks ago which more or less mirrored Barclays performance.
