I don't buy the comments about Yellen - the Fed was saying the exact opposite - looks to me like the MM's just fancied a bit of liquidity after a boring weekend. Mon everything was good so how come Tue everything is bad.

Anybody know why ? I saw an article lunchtime saying this was an algorithm flash crash but that was at 11:30 - why did the markets keep falling ?

Ncyt have been diwn “slightly” pretty well every day since 29/01.
I should know as I was up 80% then haven't sold 1 and am still holding but this is getting bloody tedious. An 80% there and on GDR has just evaporated thanks to HMG, DHSC and no news.

I appreciate they may not have declared all sold yet, but assuming they intend to hold some ( I hope they do ) it would be good to have an RNS explaining what they are doing and why as their assertion was they had enough cash for now ?
Still holding ( a much reduced number ) of SCIR and AEX as they may both do well if CH1 is ever drilled.
I intend to add back some - but not all of my old holding as opportunities present, especially towards year end.

Have to say Chris their timing was awful both for SCIR and HE1.
If they sold 4m @ 16p they made at best £500k to £600 assuming a purchase price of 3p ( for ease ).
That could have been £160k more if they sold today but unless they are absolutely strapped for cash why do it today ?
Presumably the sudden rise in sp reflected a leaky boat yesterday, todays drop ( which I suspect will continue unless they announce a cracking deal on Tuesday ) just makes them look like ( less than completely truthful ) amateurs with bad timing or a desperate need for cash IMO. Personally not impressed - just more of the same flip flop performance.

Very ill advised imo as they were looking to/needed to make a good return on their holding, which they have sold far too early.
Hasn't done our sp any favours either for which we must thank them warmly.
This has no real impact on HE1 other than providing liquidity and some cheap shares for those wanting to buy more. Will bounce later IMO.

Holding both but sold most of my SCIR after the drop last Oct.
HE1 was one of the shares I put money into as it looked a better bet.
Holders there none too pleased as many traders, ill informed investors selling HE1 without proper research. Even more disappointed that SCIR's supposedly savvy BoD have sold some now as it seems a poor time to top slice and a really bad time to sell up given the imminent spud there.
The volume they've sold won't make SCIR much and has probably wiped more of their mcap than it added in cash, whilst at the same time dropping HE1 - genius.

Last prices shown include a 16:37 500,000 trade at 19.80 , another for 50,000 at 20.10 and a 16.41 in USD for 10,000 at 0.27$ - with the £ at 1.3947 to the $ I think that's 19.36p ?
So take your pick for the real sp. I think tomorrow will be interesting.

Shorting gangs, pump and dump merchants, day traders, market forces ?
Absolutely no idea so just watching and waiting.
GLA LTH maybe some semblance of sanity will return after the Fed Meeting, Bank Holiday or whatever else is going on.
Don't think HMG's or the DHSC's cavalier attitude to contracts and debts both moral and financial help either.
