ffc true I was just trying to make a point in reply to the perspective question about dilution and highlight the impact 1p makes.
i'm praying Chris Fraser has an ace up his sleeve ( and tryiog to figure out likely sp at 13mtsa with a whole new set of sp and risked npv calcs ) but after the last 12 months and several attempts at sorting finance me prayers are getting desparate !

just what we all needed ( again ).

at 4p a share raising £400m is 10bn shares at 5p its 8bn shares - so every penny the share goes up could "save" us 2bn shares.
Even at 10p a share the number required is 4bn to raise £400m.
Wonder why the market wants the sp so low ? How would you set about acquiring half a company with 7bn shares in issue ?
All IMO DYOR - Chris do something to get the sp up !

fj thanks for that - keep believing CEO when he says they will get the finance sorted. Feeling like a right mug but holding in the hope it gets sorted.
Touch of de ja vu. Still believe both will come good in the end.

Here's hoping - one of my other holdings is SXX which took a 55% hit yesterday !
Never thought my % losses there would be greater than AEX but the day has arrived.

Hoped we might see a bounce today but it seems not. Really can't accept that 38p to 20p to 15p to 10p to 4p is warranted given progress take off and the known resource.
Waiting to see if Shorts increase or II's sell to justify the sp which seems well oversold to me.
Like you I'm holding and will not sell at an 80% loss. I couldn't resist a topup (although I have promised my wife not to buy anymore), the only good thing out of this is the ave is now 18.8 - so break even is a little nearer than it was. No idea how to calculate future value now given where we are so just watching waiting and hoping SXX get some sort of deal that leaves some value.

wwguk an interesting idea. Trying to sit back and take stock - once again SXX promised much then delivered the exact opposite. Taken a huge hit on paper -77%, like many others no doubt and trying to work out where we go from here. On one hand the assets are there and their value remains if they can be extracted. However it is difficult to see the way forward, especially as CF says there are several options, while others push takeovers, leaving the FTSE250, II's selling down, administration and we may not have any answers for months. I suppose my first step ( barring selling what little is left which I will not do ) is to wait as calmly as possible and see what happens in the next few days. Think the shock is just setting in !
GLA LTH lets hope the solution is out there.

kapersky - short term the repayment of convertible bonds will/may ( for now ) reduce potential number of shares. Maybe one positive out of the day ?

I lost £24k on top of the other £32k ( if I sell) won't do it.

As always DYOR this share illustrates the point very well.

Bought another £1k worth to make my top up today another 49000 shares in total.
That gives me 380,000 in all at an ave of 18.8 down by 1.98 today. Just hoping its worthwhile long term.
Now managed to chase my ave down from 25.75 last Sept to that 18.8 today but the paper loss is unsettling.
Still holding, pretty p**sed off - but you have to take the rough with the smooth and be patient especially with this one.

Shortest lived yet ? Very amusing.

ffc same here now down 79% - my wife was with me when the news dropped so at least thats one bit of the pain out of the way. To say she isn't happy wouldn't do it justice - but then I'm (we're all) not too chuffed.
Still can't quite get my head around being persistently misled so many times and falling for it every time.
Seriously think the money men have got SXX just where they want it - some will make a fortune but all of it is coming out of PI's pockets. Justice and Fair play - how much can you pay ?
I wasn't too impressed with the podcast - a hint of regret and sympathy would not have gone amiss along with a much more upbeat and positive presentation - difficult in the circumstances but that is what CEO's get the big bucks for isn't it ?
Plus there are many positives - Chris Fraser touched on but would not elaborate on several possibilities.
It looks as our crumbs off the table will be even smaller than we thought once we finally get there.
Simply saying he wouldn't deal in specifics was a major abrogation of Chris' responsibility in my book.

Poly my plan as well - maybe Chris Fraser should buy a few lucky dips ?
