DarrylJ thanks - exactly describes the problem we all face. The share is way oversold, the assets and investment to date are worth far more than the mcap but, for whatever reason, the company have made a complete fist of raising finance, so here we are.
Wish I knew the answer, ( not alone there no doubt ) trying to figure it out but no idea where to start !

Quoted SXX as saying the project is worth $13.6bn = £10.97bn @ an exchange rate of 1.24.
Does anybody know if this is the current NPV or if the figure was used by Liberum in their note the other day ?
Lots of discussion around what the company is worth and how much it might cost to buy it out on here but much seemed based on mcap rather than NPV ? Anybody got a handle on what a realistic figure might be ?

the derampers have persuaded another tranche of small PI's to give up today, no massive sells.
Shorts are down, which is positive but I have to say hitting a new low sucks.
Hope all the doom and gloom merchants are proud of themselves as a few hundred more PI's give up and lose 80%.

Dgr true enough, but at least the shorts seem to have peaked for the time being.
Just need some positives from the company now.
Personally I'd like to ban shorting I really don't see that it adds anything positive to the market.

Longterm is right Bob. Quite apart from anything else we do not need 3bn to derisk/ unlock a finance deal. The main issue is the shaft construction which it is estimated could be done for £250 to £300m .
If this is dealt with first the project is considerably derisked and then becomes much more acceptable to the lenders - which is one of the things the board are scoping now.

Saw that article pianista but although The Times said the same thing it doesn't ring true.
A t no time ( whether rightly or wrongly ) has Chris Fraser been anything but optimistic and confident as far as I recall.
If anyone knows different and can quote the source for his alleged comment I ( and many others I suspect ) would be very interested.

Pianista did he actually say that ? I have only seen it in The Sunday Times and I do not recall Chris Fraser saying anything of the sort in all his Communications to us.
If Investor relations see this post ( I have no doubt they are aware of the press comment ) perhaps they could clarify Chris Frasers position for us ?
That said I cannot see any CEO saying buying the shares in their company was a risky option.
Any more than it us rues as claimed by the press that the project is decades old or we have had 1200 miners working underground for 2 years as also claimed in The Sunday Times.

Positive article on p37 of The Times today, essentially saying Sirius is a worthwhile project, useful to regeneration and should get serious (no pun) consideration for government support.
