Why does this virus suppress our immune response? If it is using our immune response against us? It doesn’t add up to me. Surely it would have evolved to encourage our immune response in that case. Evolution doesn’t do inefficiency. I know this is all a lot more complex, and nobody knows the answers yet, but it just doesn’t seem logical.

That would be bigger than treating the infected. I think a lot of people, of age in particular, would be interested. Care homes with cases would see everybody wanting to take it that’s been exposed.

ShareSting, what’s your thoughts in ACE2? Is that why we need to treat early - 24-48 hours in?

Countries that had SARS exposure have done a lot better. Having said that, I was the one ‘overreacting’ in the office with hand gel and wipes before they went in to short supply. I also said we should shut down our ports when we had one case. The WHO were advising against it because they said people would find another way. Not if you are a bl**** island they won’t. Annoys me, Taiwan shut down flights and have done very well and they are an island 100 miles off the coast of China (but again have SARS experience).

I think given they have only reduced by a small percentage, we need not worry. It’s only about 25% of their placement shares I think?

Landsdowne have reduced their holding from 24million to 23 million shares. I believe they did recently add from the placement. Balancing their numbers I would think.

I’m not convinced, it wasn’t that many shares. I think they were at 24 million, now at 23 million. How does it work with regards to notifications/thresholds? I mean do major holders (>3%) have to notify of any change when that particular move (purchase/sale) is finished?

Those are really big firms, I’m sure they get political backing as well. They won’t take ‘no’ lightly.

The deal with AZN for COPD, which was to help develop and trial the drug was for 230 million plus royalties. So now we are coming to the table with the finished article, having ‘gone it alone’, and COVID has turned up. I don’t have the knowledge to put a price on it, but it’s got to be orders of magnitude more than that previous deal.

They run the show, but we can look at the bigger picture and kinda make the daily shenanigans irrelevant. But I agree, it doesn’t seem right. I’m thinking of going for level 2 but this share is making me wonder what I’d actually gain from it.
