These were not charities but tax free businesses.

Metro Bank is currenly a bit of a joke from a market valuation perspective. The hedge Funds and their familiars in the media have destroyed the perception of this (the BoD have not helped) but the increase in branch opening and new accounts etc, the current price is ridiciulous.

Matlot - I think people are forgetting that the FCA are crawling all over MTRO at the moment. This would not be a good time as an officer of the bank to be engaged in anything suspect as an FCA investigation provides a remit to probe any activities of the organisation without warrant without notice.
