If we see this news on any US news channel it really will be party time

All Covid shares currently up today which coincides with FTSE100 falling. Possibly some people worrying about a resurgence of the virus and moving money back into these shares now they like 50% down in some cases.

Globally we have record cases of infection and in UK R rate is slowly ticking up.

Warwicklad is right in what he says this is a punt share caught up in the Covid bubble. Not sure why everyone getting so angry. If you bought above 50p then more fool you.

The only way this share is returning to the heights is if the R rate increases more and there is a high chance a 2nd wave of Covid.

Simply all Covid stocks at the moment are plummeting as people think we are past the worst of it. As I said previously many PI's I know have been dropping these stocks for airlines/travel/shop stocks ina recovery play.

The markets are clearly pricing in a full V recovery and hence people have dumped Covid shares and bought airlines for example. There is no major agenda going on in any of the Covid shares just PI's are dumping as better value elsewhere.

If we see the R rate going up over next week or so people will start piling in again. However if 2nd wave fears dont materlise then these stocks were over valued and a lesson to be learnt for PI's jumping in late as a bubble bursts.

I actually hold Hemo and Synairgen shares still however sold Nova and Avacta for profit. Kind of hedge bets on the 2nd wave chance.

Some news out of the UK which may have an impact Monday

The coronavirus ‘R’ rate of infection has increased to above one in parts of the UK. The crucial number, which indicates how many others a person with coronavirus will infect, has increased to 1.01 in the North West of England and to exactly 1 in the South West.

With all the selfish ****s who have been rioting/protesting there is a serious chance this R rate will increase further prompting fears of a 2nd wave of the virus going to hit. Obviously any whiff of a 2nd wave is going to be benefical to this stock.

I disagree the placing was changed to unconditional meaning globalco can immediately sell their shares. They could trigger a sell off only to buy those shares back again at a lower price.

Following the shareholders' vote at the AGM to authorise the Directors to allot shares for cash, the Conditional Placing announced on 12 May 2020 to raise £2,500,000 (before expenses) at 7p per share has now become ***unconditional***

Thats the key thing here 'uncondiitional' which means the big II can now manipulate this how they see fit.

Either
a) They now short against their position to force price down and hoover up PI's shares as they panic thus increasing their holdings for long term.
or
b) They want a quick profit so start buying and run up the price and dump their shares at a higher price.

Interesting to see how this gets played now.

All the Covid-19 stocks are dropping as many investors believe/betting on the worst of it being over and theydon't foresee a 2nd wave. This is obvious as many travel related stocks are rising like IAG and TUI as people are switching.

We now have more companies worldwide supplying tests and less demand so stocks like Avacta/Nova/Hemo/Synaigren now need to be valued on their core research and not the Covid-19 bubble.

The signs are with China are going to increase infrastructure in their country to help their economy during the global economic troubles. Other countries likey to follow suit so I can only see demand for materials increasing.

I can see 20p+

globalco must still be happy with the progress of research/development of the CDX antibody to extend for another 3 months so shows there is confidence in the work.

I can see 2p coming up here, the company is being managed very well.

I think a big reason for buying this share is the leadership team who I have been impressed with.

There is also a shift in the media and public opinion that the worst of Covid is behind us (rightly/wrongly) and so we may be seeing a general decrease in the Covid stocks.

Look at Avacta/Hemo/Nova all starting to fall as fear increases that the products won't be as much in demand.

Also we are at week/month end it common for a dumping of stocks,

Treatment for Covid-19 that is easily applied in the home setting is huge. Keeping people isolated at home and having no burden on the NHS would be massive in the fight against C-19.

to test the drug much earlier in the course of the illness. If successful, we would hope

Director buy in and news stories flying round, just comes across as desperate to me.

Selling off part of the business to private finance/funds to generate cash normally doesnt end well for shareholders.
