Research into potential side effects of Interferon Beta-1A26 Jul 2020 22:45
There are 3 FDA approved Interferon Beta-1A treatments performed by injection called Avonex, Plegridy and Rebif. They all have officially listed the following similar side effects.
Rebif can cause serious side effects.
• Behavioral health problems, including depression and suicidal thoughts.
• Liver problems or worsening of liver problems, including liver failure. Symptoms may include nausea, loss of appetite, tiredness, dark colored urine and pale stools, yellowing of your skin or the white part of your eye, bleeding more easily than normal, confusion, and sleepiness. During your treatment with Rebif you will need to see your healthcare provider regularly and have regular blood tests to check for side effects
• Serious allergic and skin reactions.
• Blood problems. Rebif can affect your bone marrow and cause low red and white blood cell and platelet counts. In some people, these blood cell counts may fall to dangerously low levels.
• Seizures
Now on a positive note the FDA has already approved these treatments with the above recognised side effects.
For reference the dosage size of Rebif
REBIF INTERFERON BETA-1A 22UG/0.5ML
REBIF INTERFERON BETA-1A 44UG/0.5ML
The inhaled form of Interferon Beta we use is just 6UG/0.5L (COPD trail) so we would in laymans term expect less impact to the body using SNG-001.
My questions are
1) Is there any published information either from Synairgen or scientific circles referencing the above side effects in the inhaled form?
2) Do the previous trails of Ashma or COPD reference this in any way?
Thanks
