RE: Potential Competition in the Mortgage Market4 Nov 2022 19:09
It’s a bit rich of the media / political shrills talking up the data centre banks as competitors when the actual banks are slated for trying to compete by going online and closing branches…
Since their self indulgent and deluded Brexit, nothing surprises me now, it comes to something when Irish politicians look like professionals compared to the romper room antics in Westminster!
I see an attraction in calling this as a share that is at just round the corner from stardom etc. But really is there much more to go? Obviously if you can stay the course then barring disaster you will be sound. But where do we think the fair value is in the near term…..bills to pay etc! Can it see 8+ this side of Xmas?
Joxer thankfully the list of known unknowns is getting small with: Government stake gone Tracker fine provisions ok Negative interest rates behind us Pandemic sorted IT rebuilt Competition reduced & book increased Davy onboard
Anyone who has taken out a mortgage or a loan recently especially a business loan will confirm the process is now much stricter and the stress testing is actually done, not like the good old days!
