What about the 2024 dividend, the early one (interim ) of €0.35 (Nov 2924), already confirmed by BKIR and would it be matched by another €0.35. in June 2025? Total dividend of €0.70?

Still leaves a lot of capital swilling about?

John, I am not one to quibble over the odd €100M here or there, but BKIR are again the most useless shower at giving a meaningful update and pushing their own bloody share value, why are we, who are interested in this share left rubbing our heads wondering what wtf is the plan? God help the rest of the market who just pass by as they can’t be bothered to figure it out? Who runs the investor relations department here?

John, working backwards using BKIR thinking is we get that 40% of first half of 2024 profit after tax is €325M, just standing still for the rest of 2024 gives €650M as 40% of PAT…..

Overall PAT is then €1.625B?

€650m full year dividend.

What are they doing with the €975m?

John, again I think that the buy backs are the least effective way of increasing our market cap, lol at the amount of money we are pouring into the market to achieve an increase in market cap less than the money we have spent on buybacks! If we had fat dividends, the market cap would increase anyway and the shareholders would get the money!!!

Business Post has an article quoting a S&P report into the Irish banks, mostly good but they need to trim costs, forecasts a ROE rate tempering from 14% to 12% over the next 2 years, with a positive outlook.

ECB cooling on the rate cutting front? Talk of one or two more 0.25% cuts this year, surely good news for our deposit stuffed banks?

I rang their trading desk yesterday and was told that the dividend would be credited today, as you say ridiculous!
