Today’s nickel supply comes from two different types of deposits:

Class I (Nickel Sulphides): Higher grade, but rarer deposits that make up 37.5% of current production.
Class II (Nickel Laterites): Low grade, bulk-tonnage deposits that make up 62.4% of current production.
Many class II nickel deposits are used to produce nickel pig iron and ferronickel and are generally not suitable for use in batteries. However, state-of-the-art technology is now available which was designed to profitably process laterite with low grade nickel. Ultimately these mines will struggle with costs related to increased energy and shipping for efficient processing. Meanwhile, class I nickel sulphide deposits are used to make nickel metal as well as nickel sulphate. Nickel sulphate, a salt, is used primarily for electroplating and lithium-ion cathode material. Less than 10% of nickel supply is in sulphate form.

Not surprisingly, major mining companies see this as an opportunity. Norilsk, the world's largest nickel miner, announced a tie-up with the German battery maker BASF in June, 2017. In August 2017, mining giant BHP Billiton announced it would invest $43.2 million to build the world’s biggest nickel sulphate plant in Australia.

But even investments like this may not be enough to capture rising demand for nickel sulphate."

The biggest single influencing factor here is, the CEO not delivering promised events. This destroys investor confidence. People invest, based on what the company states, once confidence is gone it takes something spectacular to get them back on board.

Our new NPV is so massive, RY is fearful of putting it out as it may price interested parties out of any current talks.

That NPV of $710mn gives 82p per share with 670m shares, discount to 15% and you get 12p or at 25%, 20p now. Or am I missing/forgetting something ?

CBS The point is, they're trading at nearly 20% of nav now. We are miles away from that. We may be as low as 2 or 3% of our nav. Crazy.

They have 1.432 billion shares and a current mcap of £51 million v us at 670 million shares, mcap £25 million.

GB33. I suspect many questions have been put to the company, they are for some reason not communicating with private investors. I just hope its for a good reason.

Marks 4 weeks from these two statements from our Chairman.

"Pre-Feasibility Study ("PFS") which is in a very late stage of completion."

"The Directors are confident that they will be able to raise funds in the near future and plan to continue advancing the project in 2018-2019."

RY very bullish, making huge promises and massively raising expectations , A Ford comments, significant news, media week, PFS, exec summary, surly all this can't be bull, he must have been convinced he had something really big to tell us, but it didn't happen, so who and why has someone thrown a spanner in the works ?

Is it Riverfort playing hard ball ?........ Did A N Other pull back ? or is it all down to a continually delayed/updated/revised PFS ?
